I used a bunch of dubious tools for making citrus twists for cocktails before buying this. And OK, if you want a big fat twist, a Y-shaped peeler is fine. But my wife, who used to be a country club waitress, remembered that long before Y-shaped peelers, there was something else... but what was it? This is what it was, and this particular example works wonderfully and is a quality piece of gear at a very fair price. I generally love and respect OXO, but their equivalent tool was a slog to use and produced odd little chunks of peel. This one just works - perfectly and easily.

Just what I was looking for to add a twist to various martinis.

Für mich als Barkeeper ein schönes Gerät. Perfekte Zesten zum weiterverbeiten und Formen. Schön scharf und leicht zu einigen. Ich arbeite gerne mit dem Ziseliermesser,

Just what the doctor ordered for cutting even-depth strips of citrus zest. Very sharp -- not dull like those ones that cut from the side and are right-handed only. I'm right handed, so that's not the problem with those -- they are just plain dull due to the cheap, stamped way in which they are manufactured. The Triangle cutter is comfortable and easy to use, and leaves a nice strip of zest with almost all the nice citrus oil still in it. I will probably buy the V-groove cutter Triangle makes, too. I haven't used the one from Wusthof, but I bet it is also great, maybe better than the Triangle brand -- certainly much more costly, but I have a lot of Wusthof and I've never had a bad one. Nothing beats having the right tool for the job. Cheers! Tony
