I needed a more lightweight collar for my bulldog because his heavy duty canvas collar was rubbing on his neck in a bad way. I found this product and decided to try the nylon. He isn't a tugger on the leash. If he was I would say that a metal clasp was necessary for him, but it isn't. The metal clasps are great for dogs that pull on the leash but if your dog behaves well and doesn't pull too much, the plastic on this collar will work just fine. The pattern on this leash is wonderful. It's lively and so Van Gogh! It looks great on a white bulldog. I will order more of these collars for my other dogs, but getting rid of that huge canvas collar with the medal clasp that became stuck and wouldn't come unsnapped was a top priority. I think I much prefer the material on this collar-it really seems much more comfortable so far. We've just started using this so I will update if I have any problems. So far, for the price, this collar is very nice and works really well.

Beautiful, better than expected. I would definitely purchase it again. Vivid color, my dog has worn it for 3 months now, it looks very nice.

I bought this collar because I'm a huge Doctor Who fan, after doing a bunch of looking online for something new for my dog. He'd outgrown his puppy collar and I wanted to upgrade to a full sized one to fit him better. I had to look elsewhere online for the width of the collar - the medium and the large are both 1 inch wide, and the small is 5/8ths of an inch. The first thing I did when I got the collar (after my pup tried it on) was to take a seam ripper and remove the very unsightly brand tag. It's merely sewn over the tag, was huge, and was on crooked anyhow. It left no trace behind and was easy to remove. The collar was shipped quickly, and he's been wearing it for about two weeks now. My pup swims almost every day, and last night I had to wash the collar for the first time because it was starting to smell musty. I never once had to wash his smaller collar. But I'm not sure if it dried off more quickly due to the summer warmth, different materials, and smaller size, or some other reason. In any case, I'm quite thrilled with this purchase. The colors faded slightly after his first swim, but they are still vibrant and gorgeous against his black fur. And the price can't be beat.

Love this Starry Night collar! I agree with some of the previous reviewers that the inside stitched edge has very sharp corners. It’s worth ordering and keeping the collar because there is an easy fix. Just trim the 2 sharp corners with cuticle scissors and then buff the edges with a nail file. It is the inside of the collar so you won’t see the fuzzy edge and it makes a huge difference in softening that area so it won’t irritate your pup. The collar is very well made and I love the design. I ordered the Medium for my mini golden doodle who weighs 32 lb and has a 14” neck and it fits perfectly. The Small was way too narrow for her.

This collar is adorable, well made and as advertised much softer material. My dog was excited to be getting something in the mail just for her and seems to really love wearing the new collar. It matches her fur as she's a RedBone Coonhound. The big buckle is easy to open and close and is very sturdy. The extra large and strong metal leash hook is great - much easier to hook her leash to when we're going for a walk. One reason I was so excited by this collar is the dog on the logo looks like my dog. The fact the fabric is fashioned after a Van Gogh painting is also appealing.

As a grad student, my service dog and I wind up in all kinds of wild situations - meeting ambassadors, getting lost in the US Supreme Court building, Sundance resort, Manila's Mall of Asia, Bahamian beaches... she's got to be beautifully behaved and looking sharp! We've got the Starry Night and the Mondriaan collars. They've both proven durable, done fine in the washing machine, and stayed vibrant. The artworks translate nicely to collar format and it's been fun to see smiling recognition on faces at home and abroad. Two thumbs and two paws up!

We bought this as a replacement for a collar that was getting worn out. It's beautiful! The colors are vibrant and pretty. We have gotten so many compliments on this collar! I didn't like the tag with logo, so I carefully cut the thread holding it on. If you do this, you want to use a knife or a razor blade since it would be difficult to get scissors in there. It's stitched on pretty tight. The tag came off relatively well - you can still see some of the holes where the stiches were up close. However, from afar, it allows the gorgeous artwork to show as opposed to the logo so it was worth it. It looks great on our small black dog - the yellow really pops. The quality seems very good as well. I would buy again.
