I never would have expected to find myself writing a review for anything related to video conferencing, but my wife has a small business doing online sales and she relies heavily on live shows; so here I am writing this review. You must understand that a great deal of what I am about to relate is subjective, being the opinions of myself and others. There are no accurate metrics I can employ to explain a person's likes or dislikes in video and/or audio quality, so I can only give the impressions as they were given to or expressed by me. Plug-and-play is a wonderful thing and this camera is certainly that…at least on Windows 10. It was recognized and made ready for use in a very short time. My wife uses Facebook for her live shows, so we fired it up and chose this camera for use. The picture quality is dramatically better than that of the built-in webcam in her laptop, but then you would expect that. My wife invited her sister to be a part of the test. Video quality at her sister’s end was quite good, but she was looking at it on her smartphone and the picture was compressed to a very small size. The picture is automatically sized for 1080P, a great resolution for a PC, but not so great for a smartphone which has a tall, narrow display. This is going to be an issue for my wife as all of her customers use smartphones to watch her presentations. So far, I have not found any settings that would allow converting the display from landscape to portrait to better format it for a phone screen. Something that might help when using a phone is to turn the phone horizontally and allow the screen rotation to go into effect; however, that would limit the display of messages, etc., so not an ideal solution. Audio quality is good, with excellent vocal clarity at both ends. I think that for its intended purpose of a conference call this camera would be very good, so I have to give it high marks all around. Color is good without being overly saturated and motion is handled with ease. If you are looking to do conferences, then by all means consider this as your camera of choice. Five stars, justly earned.

Compared to my 5 year old webcam made by a popular company, the picture of this is much superior. It has a good wide view, and was able to utilize background replacement well. It produces a quite clear picture as well. What is really great about this unit, however, is the integrated sound bar. The sound have a good wide range, and sounds good even when turned up loud. This is the real reason the unit is bulky. Also, the stereo mics built in have decent noise cancelling. I was worried that the integrated soundbar would create an echo, but none so far. All in all a good purchase for a decent price.
