I replaced the 'crossovers' in ancient 1970's era Realistic Nova 5 speakers with these -clearly a big upgrade! (Was also replacing the woofers with GRS 8PR-8's since originals had surround foam failure) My ACEIRMC crossovers have the same model# YLY-2088, but are different than what's pictured here. Mine have the input on one end the the outputs on the other end... Also no instructions available for what the 4 (all closed circuit by default) AB(bass) and CD(treble) jumpers on the boards do. I've noticed that there several other sellers with this same model# crossover, so will look for more info there. And as noted below, I took the jumper off B on 1 crossover, and that speaker sounded better than the other where I hadn't done that.

I received the crossovers. But did not get an owners manual with them. I had to ask ACEIRMC for them. And they were very fast to respond. Once I set the cross overs to their best sound I an VERY happy!! They sound great! PROs: Fast delivery, great price, Appear well construction. turned my very good set of speakers into a killer set of speakers. signal separation is excellent. deep crisp bass. mid range smooth, tweeter response perfect. if you want to make an affordable upgrade to your speakers don't hesitate, buy these crossovers. easy to install. and seem to handle any amount of power you can throw at them. just lovely.

I don't know why I purchased these. They appear to be well made but it makes no sense that you need to install them in your speaker cabinets, reinsert your woofers and then listen to the results. If your not happy, you pull the woofers out switch a jumper, reinsert the woofers and listen again. There are no clear instructions and as mentioned you have no idea what frequency you are crossing over at. So far I'm not happy with the sound of both my first and second dip switch settings. The highs and mid range are muddy and the bass is barely there. The original 30 year old crossovers sounded much better. Now to pull the speaker apart again and try another dip switch setting. Another regret is that I prefer to solder in my components rather than rely on screw connectors that can become lose.

Built sturdy enough, are compact they they do work to clean up a 2-way speaker. Tested it, and it is a first order / 6 db roll off design. However, you'll get no specifics provided (no package insert / spec sheet) so you don't know what the crossover frequencies selected actually are. You play with the little caps, and Just have to judge by listening / by ear. Which is kind of a pain because it's mounted inside a box, of course. The inductor coil is in the signal path for the "bass" output, and gives a 6db roll off around 4000 Hz. On the high side. The tall blue capacitor in the path of the "bass" output seems to serve as a high-pass filter to eliminate deep bass rumbles (6DB roll off at 200Hz) and only kicks in when cap "A" is removed, otherwise it's out of the loop. It would be good use for smaller speakers or surround speakers. I don't know what the heck the idea was with with jumper B - if left on, it appears that full range goes to your woofer, though, resulting possible midrange mud, defeating the purpose of the crossover. The high-pass side for "treble" outputs have 2 capacitors (1.5 and 3.3 uF in black) that work either alone or in parallel, depending on the how the 2 jumpers are used, thus allowing adjustment of treble cutoff, which was noticeable by ear easily enough. Neat ideas for some flexibility and put into a neat, inexpensive little package, but complicated-ish and without proper documentation.

They worked for me

The product is very compact. I had to find my smallest screwdriver. One screw on one block would not tighten properly. I found a work-around and now everything is working as designed. My ear says these crossovers are a big improvement. I did no analytical testing, just listening.

The product works well, was easy to connect- speakers sound brilliant. Was not able to figure out the adjustment but I guess the right settings on my JVC were able to make up for that. All in all good purchase however priced
