We are minimualist tent campers and most of our meals consist of non perishable items. Sometimes we bring a backpack single burner stove and enjoy a freeze-dried meal. Out of all the different brands we have tried our favorite is Mountain House. Convenient, tasty and fantastic shelf life.

I actually didn’t use this for camping, instead I use it to replace instant noodles. It tastes fine, has better balanced nutrition, and cooks fast for a quick workday lunch. Price varies quite a bit on Amazon. I waited on a deal time to buy.
