So far so good!
My early 2015 MBP 13" had a ssd failure earlier this year. Finally got around to getting a new ssd and didn't want to get anything other than an OWC. Computer was previously up to date so installing from internet recovery to the most recent version of OSX available worked since my drivers were already up to date. If your machine is older or doesn't have the most recent drivers you may run into issues and need a working apple ssd to update them, then install this ssd. For the price you can't beat this, WAY cheaper than they were a few years ago.

Worked as expected, as always with OWC!
Installed easily in mid-2015 macbook pro... installed system, upgraded successively from macOS High Sierra to Monterey without any previous reported firmware issue. Thanks OWC!

Worked well for the price
For the price it did what we wanted well; double the storage easily; Probably not as fast as the Aura N2 but still fine for less.

I wanted to upgrade my (original) Apple SSD with this AURA N2 240gb version. My original SSD that came with my Apple iMac had a read/write speed of 620mb/s (write) and 650mb/s (read) so it was not very bad, but I expected it to improve plus it was smaller in capacity than this 240gb version. So I bought this AURA N2 of OWC which seemed like a good brand and fit for my needs; larger size and I expected faster speeds. However, the performance is quite strange. It is actually faster when reading, best case 770mb/s read compared to 650mb/s (original), but write speeds drops off after a few seconds to 105mb/s which is really slow! So when you are transferring files I have noticed a speed decline after a few seconds. When you boot it is okay, fast enough, but if you try Blackmagic SSD disk speed test for 5/10 seconds or longer and you will see gigantic lagging and speed declines. Stress test with 1/2/5gb all have the same results, even tried different folders on the drive but that didn't change anything. Unfortunately, I have installed everything already on the SSD (OS X, my applications, full re-install) as it is my boot drive. So I do have a bigger drive compared to my original Apple SSD, but it is less stable, so I really cannot recommend for the slight speed increase for reading (best case) but quite structural slower write speeds. APFS, Big Sur, no (firevault) encryptions running, no background applications running, no antivirus or something running, clean install of OS X. I really don't understand it, OWC is a good brand but somehow the SSD isn't happy. See printscreen. Maybe I'm unlucky..
