Received my Jack's today and they are perfect, love the storing cup also. I bought my grandson set for an add on at Christmas (not amazon) and explained how they were a favorite to his great grandma and how we would gather around in a circle on kitchen floor when I was a child lol my mother had grace picking up those Jack's 😆 goodness she was hard to beat! Told him it was a challenge next time come to visit. He really liked playing which gave me much joy of past memories and new. Seen some reviews about size, they are exact also that the ball is not the same, what is? The ball is close enough for me... enjoy! ❤️

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I began playing jackrocks way back in the 70's, when I was in elementary school. Flash forward to current times and I am teaching Appalachian History and Culture. In the winter, we spend Friday's class playing old timey games. I have ordered many sets of jacks to try to find the metal jacks that I grew up with. This set is GREAT! It comes with enough jacks for 2 separate games, as well as the high bouncy balls that bounce higher, giving the player more time to scoop up the jacks. At first, the teenagers were frustrated, but gradually they became addicted--some even asked for jacks for Christmas. Beware of imitations (plastic jacks, jumbo jacks, tiny jacks). Size: Standard, with extras thrown in Fun to play: Absolutely!! We even had a tournament! Durability: Yes! the metal ones last much longer than plastic Value for money: Great price and hard to come by..

I wish I could review the jacks separately from the two balls that came with the set. The jacks are a great size and weight, and I like them a lot. They are not as shiny and smooth as the ones I had as a child, but my granddaughter and I are having a lot of fun with them. The balls, on the other hand, are horrible. They have a strong chemical/petroleum smell that makes me sneeze and gives me a headache. My 8-year-old granddaughter also complained about the smell. I had to purchase a ball elsewhere to use with the jacks. For $10, i think the set should come with a decent, non-toxic ball.
