Master Key Resort: A Novella Review: An amazing start to an exciting new series - Master Key Resort is the beginning of a new series by Samantha A Cole and I am beyond excited because I have been a fan of Ms. Cole’s since I discovered her Trident series. Every book that she has written has intriguing characters, compelling storylines, and gives me all the feels possible. Master Key Resort is no exception. Ms. Cole has set up this series beautifully by focusing on characters that we are already invested in and giving us peeks into those who will obviously be featured in future books. In fact, it’s Ms. Cole’s ability to create characters that I want to be friends with that keeps me coming back with each book. Yes she also writes dramatic scenes that keep you on the edge of your seat. But it’s the characters themselves that keep my attention throughout the book. Watching Tiffany slowly coming out of her shell and recover from a previous abusive relationship brought me so much joy. The delicate but dominant way that Cordell helps her heal made me melt into a big puddle of goo. I want to know these two inside and out and I am cheering loudly for them to receive the happy ending that both deserve. But that’s not happening just quite yet because Master Key is just the beginning of their story. And you know I will be first in line to read the next book as soon as it’s available. Hopefully I won’t have to wait too long. Review: Excellent opener - This was a wonderful opening story for this new series. We get a bit more of Tiffany and Cordell. Met some new characters and some possible new conflicts or love interests. I feel like as a reader we are seeing the new resort and club grow just like Tiffany. I can't wait for the first full length novel. 4/5 stars

An amazing start to an exciting new series

Be Aware
First, be aware that if Master Cordell hasn’t been released yet, you are in a sort of cliff hanger situation at the end of this novella. That being said, this novella was a quick read, not because of its length, but because it drags you into the story and won’t let you go. Cordell and Tiffany were introduced in a previous book. This novella picks up to see how they’ve been faring since their introduction. Their contract has been in place for about 10 months when Cordell is given the opportunity to choose if he wants to work at the Master Key resort that will be opened by Mitch and Tyler. Tiffany also has the choice of going along to work there if she wants. The dynamic of their contract was entertaining to read about. Since the novella is titled Master Key, I don’t think I’d be giving anything away as a spoiler. On that note we do meet Dante who is on deck to be the head of security at Master Key and who is in a D/s relationship himself. I am interested in learning more about Dante and his partner, not to mention whoever that man was at the bar. I’m not sure where Samantha Cole will be going in relation to suspense or what with this spin off, but I am already looking forward to reading whatever future books arise.

A terrific beginning to this new series
This was a great beginning to this new series, and I can't wait to see where it goes from here. However, I could have really done without that huge cliffhanger of an ending!! That was just mean! Lol! I'm really happy that we get to see what happens with Master Cordell and Tiffany, and I'm really looking forward to the next book! If you haven't already read the Trident Security series, as well as all of the others that are connected with it, I would highly recommend that you do prior to beginning this series. It's not necessary, but it will give you a better understanding of the characters, backgrounds, connections, the different groups, and the dynamics between all of them. They're all absolutely fantastic stories that you will love! There are a series of collections that include almost all of the different series in the order that they need to be read. I highly recommend those. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

I am a huge fan of the Trident Series and was excited to hear about the spin-off/new Series. The Author has done a good job to introduce us to the new Series. We originally met Master Cordell and Tiffany in Option Number Three. Fast-forward and Cordell has medically retired from the police force in Las Vegas and Tiffany is healing with the help of Cordell. We see Cordell and Tiffany being offered positions in the new resort on Master Key, with life-changing decisions to make. Was not ready for the spot at which ended this story, but this Author will get us the answers we crave quickly enough. Will Cordell admit he likes His Sub, more than as a student? Will Tiffany open her heart again? This is an introductory novella, but treat yourself to the Trident series especially if like military suspense.

Nice Beginning
A new series from Ms. Cole that will spin off from the Covenant. A private island resort, rebuilt to the Sawyer's specifications, will be a destination lifestyle resort. We meet the head of security, the general manager, and his sub. Some other interesting characters have also been introduced. I hope a new installment will be coming soon.

More!!!
What a great start to Samantha's new Master Key Series! We get new characters, a new location, some of our old favs and a doozie of a cliffhanger. Besides it being too short, (yeah, yeah, I get it's a novella...) my only downside is the cliffhanger. I'm not a big fan of those but I am definitely wanting MORE!!!!

Awesome Read
How exciting is it that we are getting another series, really excited to learn about the new players and to get to see some old ones. Can't wait to see what happens next with Master Cordell and Tiffany.

Another hit out the park. This author just keeps getting better with each book and although it’s short feels a longer read. We’ve met Tiffany before but this is her journey to recovery and a new series but still with characters such as Mitch and his partners putting in an appearance. I’m so looking forward to the next in this new series.

No plot spoilers No potential triggers. There are no grammatical or editorial errors. I don't think I am a fan of this book, it's a short story, but more than that it's a cliff hanger and unless it's a full length book as part of a series I dislike cliff hangers, I actually felt cheated and it's the first time this author has ever left me feeling that way. The characterisation was okay, but again, the constant reference to 'pet' and unrelenting 'Sir' grated. I understand it's a BDSM book, but good God it's annoying when it's 24/7 - like a deliberate removal of personality. There was no great romance, no action and little in the way of sex scenes, what there was, was obviously ruled by protocol and it's that distance that really bothered me. Tiffany is supposedly being 're-programmed' following a bad Dom, just the thought of a human being undergoing training in how to be some other Dom's idea of a good submissive is enough to turn me right off the book, most especially when there is no emotional commitment from him. This isn't a love story, I don't know what it is, and I honestly don't know if I will continue with the series, given the cost I don't think it makes sense to purchase a series of short stories when it could be better handled as part of a longer set of books, the reading experience would be greatly improved in my opinion. I generally love books by this author but the current fad for short stories written as cliff hangers is a definite turn off for me, another is the stern Dom who seems unable to forge emotional attachment.

Amazing first book of what I hope will be many more to come. Samantha didn’t disappoint to set the scene so to speak. Can’t wait for the next one.

Love all Samantha's books, involving stories, lovable characters, great plots but still easy reads that you always look forward to
