I bought the North Pole Central RTP train set 2 years ago, and my 3-year-old grandson really enjoys it. I wanted to add more track, and this switch is perfect. It is inexpensive and has the same track as the pieces which came with the train set with the addition of two switches. We made the oval with an inner loop as shown in the picture. My comment regarding derailment is minor and probably obvious - with the new layout, after you change the switch on one side, you need to change the switch on the other to the same setting, otherwise the train will derail. When we update them in tandem - no derailments.

I ordered these for my grandsons ( ages 5 & 7).We have had the Disney Ready to Play train set for 5 years and my 7 year old grandson wanted the Polar Express Ready to Play train set this year. I ordered these connector switch tracks this year along with the new train and they connected both sets and ran them together. Loved it so much I immediately ordered a second switch connector track. They can assemble them themselves. What a hit!

The switches add a great deal of interest to the track. We have two train sets and wanted to connect them and the switches are fun. They can be tricky and cause the train to derail, but that’s part of the fun, too!

Ordered as a Christmas gift and just set it up. Train gets stuck and does not transition smoothly, annoying.

This product works great and fits perfectly with the stock tracks. One thing to note is that they are a little bit cheaper construction, however, this has so far had no impact on their function.

Points Track Addon seems to fit the Lionel Ready to Play Train Sets but Train Wheels themselves come off the Track when it goes over the points either direction, so unable to use to what was ment for. Children very disappointed bless.

This was recommended to go with the Lionel John Deere train set, but it is the wrong size
