Super Duper Publications Ask and Answer “Why?” Questions Card Deck -

These cards are just what I needed for my Kindergarten class, to promote thinking skills, and encourage class participation. They are great for those few minutes in-between that need to be filled. I use them as conversation starters. The only thing I would change is that the cards, the size of regular playing cards, are a bit small - sometimes if the children are sitting on the floor and I use these cards, it's hard for them to see exactly what's on the cards, and I have to kind of pass the card around so that everyone can see. Other than that, I love them!

We use these and naptime/bedtime when we are snuggling and working on winding-down. They are great conversation cards for my learning-disabled child. It allows me to snag a teaching moment (even at bedtime) when I have his undivided attention. He thinks we're just talking, therefore is very engaged and not resistant. If he viewed them as "work" or flash cards, they wouldn't be as effective for us.

Bought this for my autistic daughter to teach her how to answer questions. She loves it. When I ask her these questions, she answers and I feel proud. Takes practice and is worth it.
