Great and less expensive than the previous one I got

I have one in my kitchen and it comes in handy with opening bags etc. It has one blade to open mail or boxed items and another small one to open food items. I use mine all of the time.

I don't know where I originally came across these but it is definitely one of those things that looks silly but once you use it you wonder how you ever got along without it. It works incredibly well for opening darn near any type of packaging from refrigerator boxes to green bean bags to those stupid blister packs to the cellophane that wraps batteries together that seems absolutely indestructible. The blade stays retracted so you don't lop your arm off accidentally when you look the other way and the blade stays sharp for a ridiculously long time. If the blade ever does get dull because you tried to use it cut lines in your concrete driveway or something you can easily replace it (it even comes with a bunch of replacements). The blade extends just far enough out to open anything but not so far out as to damage whatever is underneath the packaging that you are cutting through. These are safe, cheap and indispensable and you should have one in your house at all times! If you don't then you should hang your head in shame and buy one right now! I always buy these to give as housewarming gifts along with a bunch of other useful tools and gadgets that I find particularly endearing and every single person who has gotten one of these from me eventually gushes about how much they love the silly thing! A great product and very safe until the blade gets dull. Easier to replace the whole unit than try to replace the blades. Kinda single use plastic and feel bad that I bought a replacement.

I'm not comfortable with razor blades...this substantial tool gives me a great option! Easy to use. I mostly use the box cutter, but the part that opens plastic/paper bags comes in very handy as well. This is my 2nd one - really durable, highly recommend.

I have one of these in my kitchen, one in my hobby room and one in my garage work bench drawer. These are very handy for todays populr shrink-wrapped everything!

So easy to use and great for opening up packages.

Excellent in utility - however for the price you’d think the blades could be easily replaced. One can be - hard to find any instructions though. One can’t be so it’s useless after it dulls. Otherwise a great tool for household use.

Very light and flimsy. No instructions on how to change the blades.
