Fit as it should

Bought this outer filter for my ShopFox W1830 Air Filter. Wasn't sure what I would be getting since it was about 5 dollars cheaper than the Shopfox filters. Upon arriving, it looks exactly like the old one with the same dimensions, and the quality seems the same. Glad to save some money and will order more of these in the future. While the product is great...how Amazon shipped it is not. Amazon combined this filter and the inner filter I ordered in the same box with a 34 lb Bench vise. The filter got squashed needless to say. But, it actually worked out good because when the filter got squashed it made the edges flare out so that when I put the filter in the machine it actually fit tighter making a better seal than the old one. Just had to bend back a couple of the pleats, so no big deal. I try to get the maximum life out of these filters by taking out and blowing off with an air hose. When you can't see the white of the filter time to blow it out. So I only change filter once a year for the outer and maybe 2 years for the inner filter which all depends on how much you use it. While this review is for the filter, I do not recommend the machine since it died on me 1 month after I got it. Something in the circuitry went wrong and it would come on at all so I hard wired the motor with the medium speed setting so that is how fast it runs when turned on or off. Needless to say had to throw the remote away....but it works and works good now. I'm not too fussy. Anyhow great filter.

Nice dust filters for my wood shop. Even during busy work times, they lasted long then the previous ones I purchased.

These fit perfectly and when you check the internal micro filter there is no signs of dust which means this filter is doing it job.
