Ok to start with

This is the first time buying an Arabic attar and I decided on the rose and oud scent. Very pleased with my first one! I’m female for reference since hormones can play with scents drastically. When I first put on the oil the first scent I get the most is leather then incense. After about 20 minutes it starts to mellow out enough to detect a faint rose. I’m not an expert in perfumery so I can’t detect all the notes but I have plenty of experience with making candles and being obsessed with perfume. To me, this is actually a unisex scent. On a woman, or anyone that identifies as such, this is definitely a fall or late summer attar that gives off just enough scent that someone close by or passing would get a whiff. It is a night time smell but you do you! I’d describe it as something sultry and exotic. The incense notes make it unique and memorable. As for packaging I feel like it should be wrapped in something since all it was was a small, padded envelope. The box was seriously smushed when I opened it and I was fully expecting a broken bottle but, thankfully, it didn’t break! The rollerball is pressed down more than what I’ve always seen with essential oils,oils, and serums, but it doesn’t bother me and I feel like it lets out just enough oil, so it’s fine, As for the strength of the perfume I’d say it’s kind of like a toilette. It lasts on your skin for hours but it’s not going to be detected by those around you after about an hour or so. Overall I’m very happy, I’d recommend it, and I intend to buy more from this seller!

Very light

When I first received and tried this perfume, I didn't care for it because all I could smell was sour geraniums. This was when it was applied directly to my skin. Yet, people I ran into told me how good I smelled. On a later day I decided to use it again and apply just a tiny bit to my jacket. With a light touch, it is more evident that there is a rose scent as well as oud lightly in the background which is a wonderful harmony. The rose aspect is not what I expected, it smells like a thick heavy herbal rose as opposed to a fresh light soapy rose. There is that slight woody and "Christmas-y" note that adds a pleasing depth without being gross like patchouli (which I hate). For some reason I smell in colors and this smells like dimly lit 18K gold, will that make sense to someone else? After I got accustomed to this perfume, I really enjoy it and look forward to smelling it on my own clothing.

At first I was shocked by the scent, at first you smell rose then later the oud, I actually like it, and wear it, you just shouldn't use much at one time.
