I got these at an overstock price, making them a fantastic deal, given prices of competition for almost exact same jar. They are great, but probably bigger than most want. They essentially fit just over the volume that you could stuff into a 16.9oz soft drink bottle. Great for flax seed, coffee beans (but don't expect 16ozs to fit in it,) loose teas, tea bags, etc. Some might even find them useful for liquids or creams, but they are quite deep.

This jar is made of nice thick glass so it is sturdy . The lid is plastic and screws on but it does make an airtight seal
