Frankly, I am shocked at how good this fertilizer worked. My Bermuda grass wasn’t terrible, but it was definitely yellowing and barely survived the Summer heat, and I thought I would put down some fertilizer to give it some nutrients before the season ended. I now realize I should have been fertilizing my lawn a lot more now, after I put this fertilizer down, the lawn greened up so fast and grows super quickly now, I can hardly keep up with mowing! It looks so good compared to what it used to. It’s still a new grass, but this fertilizer really helped it to look healthy and thicken up. I will definitely be purchasing it again after I run out of this bag.

This product work great. After 3 days I seen a noticeable difference in my lawn. It was so dry and brown and now very green and health.

I definitely seen significant results. I am about 3 to 4 weeks of use. I also used Scott turf builder liquid. Very easy to use. Value for money. The size is appropriate. The quality is very good.

I recently purchased a home and know zero about yard maintenance other than mowing. How we all of my neighbors have gorgeous laws, so of course I can’t have mine looking like the forgotten stepchild. Lol. My yard and everything in it was starting to die under the daily 104 temperatures in Texas. It’s been a cruel summer 🎶 I went to tiktok to find what the most reliable product was for green grass and saw this product constantly recommended. The process was easy. I simply followed the directions on the back which pretty much said just spread and water, so that’s what I did. Now this product advertised that you would get green color in three days. I’m not saying that it’s impossible as there are so many factors that come into play with growing and gardening as I have quickly learned. I didn’t notice any dramatic changes in 3 days, however I am starting to see results after about 1 week. My yard still needs work to fill in patches that have little to no grass, but I am happy with the results as I can now see the change taking affect. I have been watering daily for 30min/1hour and I have included the pictures of the progress so far. The first picture is from July 15th and the second from July 22nd (one week) Can’t wait to see how it is in a month or two!

I live in North San Diego County, have a lawn composed mainly of fescue with about 25% Bermuda, and have used this particular Scotts product for years. I love that it is so easy to spread with a broadcast spreader, begins to green the lawn within a week following application, and lasts for several months.

So far I think this works great on my yard. My yard has always been neglected all these years and recently this year I wanted to have a nice green yard. My yard is a mix of bermuda and St Agustine grass. The bermuda seems to have been taking off this year with the good rain we had in Spring. But the bermuda has always been a light color green. Same goes for my St Augustine under the tree area. Grass always looks like a pale color green even with a lot of watering. Followed the instructions on the bag (not even sure if I had my cheap spreader on the correct setting) and applied it to my yard early in the morning. I did a good water in and the next day I could say my grass was looking much greener! Some of the light color patches actually looked green... Maybe it was my eyes playing tricks or placebo effect, grass sure looks much better. Now 4 days in and I have to say my yard has the greenest grass on the block! While it's not a deep rich green that I was hoping for, but I'm sure it's just the grass type that I have. Also the bermuda seems to have taken off with the runners spreading and covering the bare spot patches in my yard since I applied the Scott's Green Max So far I'm very impressed and satisfied with the results. My lawn was never really taken care of and I've never used any fertilizer/products till now. Never done a soil test. I'm sure my lawn was missing a lot of nutrients needed for a good lawn. Thought I give this a try and boy am I happy with the results without having to spend so much.

This product may not work for every lawn across the country. It depends on a state’s grass type, the condition of your lawn, the season you’re in, weather conditions, if you’re watering your grass properly, the intensity of the sun, and so on. I applied this fertilizer to my grass on the first day of autumn 2024. After 3 days, I didn’t see much of a change. The lawns around my neighborhood have been dying since early August. My lawn maintained some of its greenness because I water my lawn at the recommended times, which are: 3 times a week, between 6 am and 9 am, and for 30 mins each time during the hot summer months. We’ve had a hot summer where I live and there were a lot of sun-scorched lawns. Still, I wouldn’t stir people away from purchasing Scott’s Green Lawn Max because I have seen several videos (that were all “non”-promotional) that showed how effective this fertilizer can be if applied by following the instructions on the bag closely. I still believe that the best way to maintain a green and healthy lawn is by mowing it properly and not too short, watering in the early morning instead of the afternoon and evening, raking and dethatching, aerating, and using fertilizer sparingly 3 to 4 times out of a year—the best times being early Spring, twice in the summer, like in June and then again in mid-August, and one last time in late October or November just before the cold weather sets in if you live in chilly winter areas of the country. I can only give this product 3 out of 5 stars because it did not make my lawn greener in the 3 days the manufacturer claims. However, that’s not to say it may not work for someone else’s lawn in a different part of the country under different circumstances.

The effectiveness of this product it’s amazing and for the money it cost your lawn will thank you if you have a spreader it’s really easy to put down and in 3 days you’ll see a color green that you didn’t think was possible
