These boxes (I ourchased both sides) are great and convenient. They are not high security, but they keep your stuff tucked away and locked up enough to keep honest people, and rain, out. They are easy to install, hold some necessities, and keep them out of the cab and out of the weather. Very pleased with my purchase.

Not fit for gmc

I just purchased and installed the set for driver and passenger side storage units. The installation is very easy and takes just minutes! If you're not sure on the instructions, there are plenty of videos on YouTube showing how. As for the storage units themselves, they look like they should hold up for years of handy use. There's a decent amount of capacity and it also has a small removable shelf that can be stored on the top of either end of the unit. The best thing is how handy these are. There's a lever on the outside bottom, when pulled allows it to fully swing the unit all the way to over the tailgate making for very easy access. Also, these units are totally removable themselves! Which is a handy feature if for some reason you nee to use the full bed of the truck for a project. Once done, they simply reinstall in seconds. The units themselves are lockable. There also comes with the unit, a separate piece which installs in seconds that prevents removal of unit while this piece is in place. It can be removed quickly and easily to allow removal of the unit again. I also have a hard retractable tonneau cover which locks along with the tailgate. The storage units are designed to fit even if you have a tonneau cover plus they set a little off the bed of the truck. Overall, these are very handy and well thought out, I only wish I could have purchased these a long time ago!

Just installed this on my 2020 GMC 1500 Sierra Denali and have posted step by step pictures of my install… zero issues with fit and alignment, fairly straight forward, happy with my purchase so far… Going to break this review up into to two parts A) General Comments and B) Installation Advice General Comments: - excellent for the price point. - GM side mounted boxes are over $1000 and not easily accessible. - Swing Case box and contents easily accessible while tonneau cover is still closed due to the convenient latch location and swivel function. - few reviews about how they could have made it tighter to the bed wall but I like the fact that I still have access to my tie down loops while it’s closed. - it does project out past the wheel well by a few inches which may interfere with transporting 4x8 sheets of material flat. However the box can be removed in seconds and very easily which is super convenient. - yes it does block the 12v plug but the plug is still accessible if needed. Installation Advice: - you need a cordless drill, 9/64 drill bit, 7/16 socket bit, and a Sharpie - instructions are pretty straightforward - I am one for measure twice cut once so I may have taken a few extra steps but zero issues with fit, alignment, or function. Instructions provided by manufacturer are pretty straightforward however. 1) I used the hole plug provided to temporarily mount the hinge and mounted the box to it. 2) I used a few items (see pictures) to shim the box in place until happy with my bracket alignment and the the way the box sits and clears. Manufacturer Instructions show placement points and they are pretty spot on. 3) once happy with the bracket alignment pre-drill your bottom hole on the bracket then secure with the screw included using the socket bit. One screw and the hole plug are enough to hold the weight of the box while you adjust your striker bracket for placement. Again placement on manufacturer instructions pretty spot on. 4) reach under the box while mounted to hold your striker bracket and use a sharpie to verify location. Once satisfied, install the top right screw on the striker bracket. This will a) hold it securely in place to check alignment and function as well as b) allow you to twist/move the striker bracket if needed to ensure smooth latch function. DO NOT INSTALL ALL 3 SREWS AT ONCE or you won’t have an opportunity to adjust the alignment. 5) once satisfied with the latch function, secure another screw into the main hinge for firm placement. Remember to pre-drill the screw holes rather than just trying to drive the self taping screw in. By just driving the screw in without pre-drilling you risk moving the placement of the hinge. 6) verify the box and latch function again and once satisfied secure the striker bracket with the remaining 2 screws 7) install the remaining 2 screws into the main hinge. 8) install the pivot lock 9) Enjoy!!! I’m just providing a few more steps that I took during the install to ensure proper function and alignment the first try. The manufacturer instructions are good and if you’re handy you should have no issues at all. Will update review if I’m noticing any functionality issues. Enjoy!

Installed on my 2020 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab. Installation very easy and quick (15 min) and everything lined up perfectly. It is under a locked tonneau cover so won't evaluate security aspect for those with open truck beds except to say it does come with a little lock to prevent easy removal. But if someone was determined to steal it and had the time I'm sure it could be taken...as with almost anything out in the open. There is lots of room for tool storage, etc. I highly recommend this product.
