Gibbs Brand Lubricant

I ordered this Gibbs Lubricant because of recommendations on some vintage motorcycle forums. I'd never heard of it before, but after using it for a month or so, I absolutely love it. I've de-rusted tools, and used it on a vintage motorcycle with rust on painted surfaces, and to protect bare metal surfaces from rust. It doesn't have any noxious odors, and is safe for almost any surface. It does not harm paint, plastic or rubber, and as they say it can be painted over once it dries. While it is a bit pricey, it has so many uses that I believe it is well worth it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Good stuff for the price. Replaces the FAR MORE EXPENSIVE Ballistol in my shop

You will find yourself looking for things to oil. I just did my roll up garage doors. Using this on any squeaky hinge. It is a good protectant also.

Highly recommended by a guy I know at one of the top firearm makers in America. I've been using it on my entire collection for the past year and am very satisfied.

The other reviews are very complementary of how well the product works, and I agree with them. Excellent product. My only problem is I am trying to free up bolts on an assembly where I do not have straight-on access, and really need to be able to direct the stream with a "straw" I have not found one that fits on the built-in sprayer so ... I'm kinda suffering on this project...

OUTSTANDING PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I brought home my grandfather's 1935 Model C Case tractor several years ago. It has not been started in at least 35 to 40 years. The dirt from the farm is still on it. The crank was frozen and would not budge, even with a 3# sledge tapping gently. When we towed it to my trailer, my uncle tried to turn the engine over by letting the clutch out--no luck even with the large tractor tires. Last week, I started by spraying Gibbs Lubricant onto the crank and into the cylinders (having removed the spark plugs). After one week of spraying and gently tapping each day, the crank came free today AND when I tried cranking the engine--IT'S FREE!!!!!!!! All with about 3/4 of one can of lubricant! Well worth every penny!

Not sure this is better or worse than any other product in terms of performance. I did no comparisons. Goes on like and looks like penetrating oil. I saw some forum where a user tried this plus two penetrating oils and in his case this one helped more than the others and doesn't have a lot of aroma. So I'm trying it on an exhaust manifold job. In this type of job I'm wanting to apply it to specific bolts and nuts. It's hard to get the spray headed where you need it; sometimes the spray stream starts low and sometimes it starts higher. A lot of product ends up off target. I guess I prefer the long tube style. Also note, each use seems to fill the top of the can with leaked product. I ended up draining the top of the can after each use so the leak didn't run over the top and cover my hand. The can did not look damaged in any way. Cannot say if this leak is unique to my situation or not just what happened to me. I did appreciate that it did not have a lot of aroma. My hands cleaned up pretty well. Good luck
