Great tool
Really enjoying using this sharpener and it works great. I could have spent more on a bigger more professional setup but for my purposes this does the trick just fine. It’s compact so it stores easy, quick to setup, and has smooth operation. Got all my knives nice and sharp fairly quick. Three things to make it better- the base could be a little heavier so it doesn’t rock as easy, the clamping system could be a little more secure, and to sharpen a larger knife you really should use a larger sharpener but it works if you sectionalize the knife. I’ll get a kit of use out of this thing.

Sharpening knives has never been so easy before
My mother and I collect a ton of knives, though as far as sharpening them I’ve never really paid much attention to. I’ve noticed a ton of them beginning to be very dull, so I purchased this since I don’t like any of the other sharpening tools I have. Man it’s so easy to use, you can set your angle so easy and just get to work. Can sharpen quite a few knives quickly with this. The quality is great I was concerned about the magnet but it’s solid as heck I’ve had no issues with large knives or small knives. I highly recommend this product.

Works well enough for sure
I have only or a few days. The reviews are generally positive but there are some negative reviews that made me want to comment. I have used on a larger chefs knife and a pocket knife for context. In both cases the knife ended up with a pretty good edge. First, some reviewers commented that the base is not steady. I don’t know what they were sharpening or how hard they were pressing but it worked absolutely fine for me. You don’t need or want a Lott off pressure. Second, the plastic materials are not great and will have some flex if you use some pressure. For the price and convenience I guess this is a trade off. So it could be sturdier, but again, my knives were able to cut paper easily when done and I wasn’t working too hard to sharpen. Not going to lie, metal would have been better. The system to rotate the knife is find if it’s a small knife. Larger knife’s will not rotate easily. But, for the larger knife’s I just pulled it off, turned it and reattached. Magnets hold it on so it’s not hard to do and honestly might be easier and safer than rotating in the system. Overall, it works. I do question the durability, but these things only need to used gently to work. I don’t understand the negative reviews if used with care. Only reasons I did not give 5 stars…I question the durability and there is a little flex in the plastic. Yet like I said…I was able to get the knives way sharper and I did not want to invest much more. The next up “recommended” one was almost 250. I am not messing with stones…just want to make my knives cut better. This works better than anything I have tried.

Best sharpener ever.
Very easy to use, maintains same angle so blades are sharpened perfectly. Excellent value for the price. Im 70 and this is the best sharpener I have ever owned!

Excellent sharpening system
Price was reasonable for the quality of the sharpening system. Assembly was super simple and the instructions provided great insite as to how the system works. The operation of the sharpener was easier than anticipated. The 3 tristones that came with the elite work great. The time it took to sharpen was not bad considering how dull one of my knives were. I needed an upgrade to my current sharpening system( it was a hand held where you spun the wheel to choose the rods to use). Didn't like that one since the day i bought it. This was an excellent choice for a sharpening system. I would even go as far as saying a complete novice would be able to get a great edge on any knife with minimal effort. I will be using this on a regular basis. Not sure if i can get replacement parts though( the trisharp stones, or any part that may break or be consumed)

Absolutely Outstanding Sharpen
This is hands down one of the best knife sharpeners I’ve ever used. I’ve tried whetstones in the past, and while I could get a knife “sharp,” I could never truly grasp maintaining the correct angle consistently. Because of that, my results were always hit or miss — sharp, but never this sharp. With this sharpener, the difference is night and day. The guided angle system takes all the guesswork out, and the results are honestly machine-sharp. I’ve never had pocket knives this sharp before. I actually have to be extra careful now, because the edge this puts on a blade is no joke. Even the V-block comes with an insert that literally says “You will be creating incredibly sharp knives. Please handle with care.” — and that ain’t no joke. Just following the system gives you a dangerously sharp edge. The process is simple, controlled, and repeatable. If you’ve struggled with whetstones or inconsistent results in the past, this completely solves that problem. Fantastic tool. Worth every penny. Highly recommended.

Quick. Accurate. Easy. Angles aren’t just fisherman anymore.
This works great and it’s easy! I didn’t take much math growing up and don’t really know why angle is important in anything other than a divorce lawyers playbook. Unless we’re talking about the angles my ex wife was taking while out with her “co worker”. My knives are sharp and it’s doesn’t take long to get one sharp or swap out stones. I had the Ken Onion edition electric sharpener but this is easier and less messy as well as simpler to use. I’d argue it does a better job as it’s easier to control the amount of material you remove. They call me Kurt now these angles are so good. Heaven must have sent these angles. Ok no more angle puns. Get one if you want sharp knives.

Not perfect but super sharp knives.
I’d prefer the base to be made of something heavier than plastic as it is difficult to bust the stiff spring to rotate the knife 180 but this sharpener works fantastic! All my knives are now like razors. Quick and simple to use. It would be great if you could replace the individual stones and strop with out having to buy the whole set of replacements as many stones don’t get used.

I wanted an easy, professional level sharpening system that just worked! Too many gimmicks or systems that require a high skill level it seems. I chose this over the “professional” version at double the price because I didn’t think it was worth it to ad the digital angle gauge and the small knife holder. I had sharp knives within minutes of opening the box. Watch a video on its use to see some finer points. I tried to use the same motion when I got to the leather strop and it was cutting into the leather. Once I figured out to take shorter, incomplete passes with the leather it was off to the races. When I got to the paring knife I had to play with the knife in the clamp to avoid bumping the holder. This is where I believe the small knife holder would be cool - but you don’t need it if you adjust things to get clearance. Buy this one and most users will be thrilled. If you think you need or want the angle gauge or small knife holder then go for the pro version. I believe it has bigger abrasive plates that may help with keeping alignment as well.

I tried to learn hand sharpening on a water stone and after a few years of not really being satisfied with the results (knives were sharp enough to slice paper, but could struggle with a tomato skin) I broke down and got this guided sharpener. Even after my first use it got my knives sharper than I've ever been able to manage on the water stone. I'm sure there's better guided sharpeners out there that maybe can be attached more securely, hold the knife a little better (it's adequate as long as you don't get too rough and securely place the knife in), or have easier to use sharpening rods (they're a little skinny so you have to be careful not to rock them). But for this price I doubt you're going to find a better one. I also can't speak much to the longevity of the sharpening surfaces, but for light use I'm sure they'll last decently long. Works on pretty much any hard surface, you just have to hold it and be a little careful. Comes apart relatively easily and can store back in it's packaging.
