We wanted a beach sunshade (sh!bum!) but wanted a unique color and figured we could do it ourselves for tons less money. We were correct. We always get stopped and people complimenting our shade. It’s easy for me to find my beach setup when returning from the water. I found some article and videos online to copy. We also made a carrying bag that doubles as the sandbag for the anchor. This fabric is quality and durable for this purpose. So far it’s held up well - we’ve used about 5x at the beach and always receive compliments. Super easy to set up. Great value. I wouldn’t say it’s waterproof but definitely water resistant. Colors are bright and vibrant. Use sharp scissors as with any fabric project - material is easy to cut.

I really like this and will use it. Would have preferred one piece but should be able to stitch a flat-felled seam for my project (tent roof). The feel is good and lightweight yet sturdy. It should look great and function as needed.

I made a winter coat for the dog and it's a combination of this nylon fabric on the exterior and two layers of neon orange polar fleece on the interior. It keeps him warm and dry, aside from the snowballs covering his feet. :) Wherever he goes, he glows!

I searched PUL fabric, got this. This is not PUL fabric, it’s thin, plastic ripstop. It’s thin. It’s slick, so hard to cut and sew. It’s plastic, so it makes crinkly noises in your item. It wasn’t usable for what I needed it for.

Fabric tore very easily under high winds. Great for indoor or light duty projects.

I made a garage flag for my husband using this rip stop nylon. It was a checkerboard flag so this product had to be of good quality to avoid fraying. This fabric fit the bill. Good product. I would buy again. In fact, I DID buy again because he wanted another flag in a different design. So I purchased some of the red rip stop nylon. He loves it.

I'm a bag designer and this ripstop is perfect for linning ....just right , water proof and hard to rip....AND SUCH GREAT CHOICES OF COLOR....no complaints !

I bought robin's egg blue, yellow, and orange, mainly because I like making my own gear and wanted to have ripstop on hand for that purpose. **Warning: Boring waterproof test details to follow.** TL;DR: despite item description, this ripstop is *not* waterproof. I was midway through making a raincover for a little, teardrop-shaped city pack that I own, when I decided to test the fabric for waterproofness. I put a paper towel in a bowl, placed a swatch of fabric on top of it so that it overhang the bowl on all sides, then mixed food colouring with water and put a teaspoon of it on the ripstop and left it for a while. When I returned, the paper towel underneath showed that the red water had definitely permeated. Since I was using red water on blue fabric, I was able to determine that it hadn't been wicking, but had gone straight through the ripstop. Regardless of the misleading item description, I love the price and colour options of this fabric, and will definitely buy it again! I'm just going to waterproof it myself with paraffin and mineral oil when I need it to be waterproof.

Made a car poncho for grandaughter. The fabric is perfect wind and rain repellent to keep her warm over the fleece undercoat.
