Finally, a stopwatch that's easy to use, and that actually works.
If what you want - if what you REALLY want - is a stopwatch, then you've finally found one. I returned three, count 'em three previous pretenders to this throne: 2 of these were Casio multi-function wristwatches with stopwatch modes, and the third was a pricey multi-function "dedicated" stopwatch because (a) all 3 had defects, (b) all 3 had "instructions" written in a strange English-like language that was really just techno-babble, and (3) all of them were insanely complex, and packed with bells and whistles that were both unnecessary, and also impossible to control because the "instructions" were mainly incomprehensible, and those instructions that were comprehensible mainly didn't work. As last, this one is a real, working stopwatch. That's all I wanted, and that's all it is. Here's what I know so far: They delivered it overnight (I paid $2.99 extra for early delivery, and it got here before 11 AM). It's a stopwatch: I have already confirmed that it starts, it stops and it resets. Do you think that's a small thing? Then why do you think I had to return the previous 3 watches? This one, at long last, does what I need done, and, praise the LORD, it works. No bells and whistles, which I regard as at least a blessing; maybe -- after my previous 3 flops -- maybe it's actually a privilege. As advertised, it takes AAA batteries, so no more wrestling with microscopic screws, or visits to the watch store for a button battery change. Only one question remains: How long w ill it last? ALL of these inexpensive watches are reported to sometimes die young, but only by a minority of reviewers, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Simple, does the job!
This review was written in September 2018. There are multiple reviews for prior versions of this product, please disregard those, as it has changed. It seems more often than not we suffer products that have too many unusable features, unintelligible instructions, and require complicated procedures for achieving simple functions, yet fail to perform the most basic of tasks. Thankfully this is not one of those products. Pushing the on/off button turns it on or off. Pushing the start/stop button starts or stops the timer. When timing, pushing the Lap/Reset button freezes the display so you can see the lap time, but the timer continues to run in the background, and lets you know it’s still running by flashing the colon (:) between minutes and seconds. Pushing Lap/Reset again unfreezes the display and displays the running elapsed time. You can push Lap/Reset as many times as you want to freeze/unfreeze the elapsed time. Pushing Lap/Reset when the timer is stopped resets the timer to zero. That’s all. No beeps, no memory, no lap splits, no countdown, no clearing previous data, no programming of dates, days, years, current time, daylight savings time, alarm times, zulu time, backlight intensity programming, Bluetooth interface with mobile app, magnetic flux variations, relativistic tachyon beam distortion factors or any other useless and complicated procedures that engineers and marketing departments hopelessly pile on as “features” that no one can possibly remember, much less use. The display is easy to read and it times to the 1/100 of a second, which is far beyond my needs. It takes 2 AAA batteries, which are included. That’s a nice change, and much preferred over those stupid button batteries, with seemingly hundreds of different types out there identified by slightly different numbers which are never compatible with each other. It’s also accurate. Like a previous reviewer, I timed a 12 hour period to the second as given by the time on my phone, but unlike his results, mine came up dead on. The only quibble possible is that the case feels light and a little flimsy, and dropping it pops opens the battery compartment. Solution: don’t drop it. If you just need a stopwatch that times things and doesn’t assume that you need to perform integral calculus via voice command on the fly, this is it. For the price, I don’t think you can beat it.

Really good stop watch
I should start off by saying it literally took less than 24 hours for the digital stopwatch to be delivered to me! I bought another one because the last one I bought I decided to use as a back up after about 7 years of constant usage. This is a really good stop watch that even includes the batteries in the purchase. While it is a really good stop watch it does have one problem: The back cover easily will fall off and if this happens the watch basically will not work. I solved this problem by putting a piece of duct tape over the battery cover. This problem could be solved by putting a screw in to hold the battery cover to prevent the cover from falling off. I should also add that I keep this stop watch in my car all year round the heat and/or cold weather does not keep it from working and as long as you put a piece of duct tape (or something similiar) over the cover to keep it from falling off you should have many, many years of great use. Summary: Price and performance. Hard to beat that combination. Easy to use Stopwatch with an on/off switch to save battery life. Just remember to put a small piece of duct tape over the battery cover to keep it from falling off. I took one star off for this problem. All in all though this is as good a stop watch as you can buy and its pretty inexpensive too.

Simple, easy, and large digits.
I wear it around my neck to time my daily walks around the neighborhood. The stop start button works well as I stop to talk to neighbors (and their dogs).

Durable, affordable and works like a charm
Great stopwatch. Performs all the main functions you would look for in a stop watch. I purchased this watch because I wanted to be able to do timed sprints during my walks and did not want to fumble around with my phone. This works great because the string is long enough to comfortably fit around my neck without being too long or short. The digital time has a large easy to read display and the buttons are big enough and positioned in just the right spot for ease of use. Besides just being a stopwatch, it also tells regular time as well as offers an alarm, but I have not used that feature. The material its made of is pretty durable since I've dropped it a couple of times with no issues. Not even a crack or a scratch. Great stop watch at a great price. Recommended. Utterly worthless if you want accuracy. Doesn't measure hundredths or even tenths of seconds.
After receiving this I immediately tried it out, trying to get as close to 1.00 seconds as possible. Strangely, I would keep getting 0.96, 0.80, or sometimes 1.12. It turns out this only ever reports a multiple of 0.16 seconds! This makes it useless even for measuring to the nearest 1/10 of a second -- if the watch first rounds to the nearest 0.16, then you round that to the nearest 0.10, it's statistically invalid. Why didn't they just make it count out by 0.10? Even worse, it looks like they try to cover it up by flashing random digits in the hundredths place, including odd digits! Then when you press stop, it shifts to a multiple of 0.16. This both false advertising (implying that it measures 1/100 seconds), plus the worst engineering design I've ever seen ... it doesn't even make sense, it would have been simpler to just build it the correct way. And I haven't even tested its accuracy as far as how much it drifts compared to real time -- other reviews say it's pretty bad in that respect as well.

Worked well – till I dropped it. Once. GREAT CUstomer Service !
Worked really well... Till I dropped it. Once. I am electronically very capable and it was not something simple like a mis-aligned battery. It was, just dead. Not a good return on my small investment. I disassembled the stopwatch and discovered that the contacts of the switches and on-off buttons are not soldered on – just a friction fit and taped. Fine for some things. Not a portable – anything. I hope the owner of this store will read this and know more about the Quality of the product they sell. I wish you all well! But now I have to take the time to find a better one and wait for that one to get here. Save money and time. Get a sturdier one to begin with. UPDATE:: The Company did the right thing! Wow, pretty amazing, they refunded my money and were actually nice about the whole thing. That is the way Business is supost to be done - Thanks! Upgraded two stars. I wish you all well!
