Is this just a little stack of cards on a plastic ring?

Hi There, Our cards are larger format than you may think (they measure 7" x 4.5" by 1") and they are high quality card stock laminated with soft-touch velvet coating on every single page (48 pages). So that means when you touch them, they feel different than normal paper or normal card stock and they won't rip or tear if your toddler gets ahold of them. It also means they are water-resistant too so they will last for many babies to come. Let us know if that helps or if you have any other questions for us.

Would this be worth purchasing for 9 month old?

The activities are divided up into sections for every 3 months of age ( Ranges are: 0-3mo, 4-6mo, 7-9mo, and 10-12 mo). So if your baby is 9 months, you'll be able to use about half the book now, and so it's your choice if that is valuable to you. There are certainly some activities in the 0-3 and 3-6 range that you can do with your 9 month old, but some of the earliest ones (like high-contrast cards, etc) may not too old for your little one, so you won't be able to use every single one, but we'd bet you'd still have some fun together with the older activities. We're also coming out with our Toddler Cards for 12-24 months in just a few weeks so we'll have something similar for the next stage of toddlerhood for you soon! Hope that helps!

Is this beneficial to purchase if my child is only 2 weeks?

Yes, in my opinion it is. This is a wonderful weeks by weeks description of what to expect. I have referred this throughout the first year of my grandbabies life. It is help me to know what to expect and evaluate. And it’s very interesting.

Are the cards inclusive of male and female pronouns? I’ve only seen a handful of the cards in reviews and they all refer to your baby as a she.

Hi Jess, Great question! We do, in fact, use female pronouns throughout our book. Why? We were advised by our editors to choose the "she/her" pronouns in the book to ensure that we stay grammatically correct and consistent with the reader. We had two teams of professional editors review our book and they both recommended that we either chose a female or male pronoun and remain consistent throughout the book-- instead of only referring to "baby" over and over again. And so we decided to choose "she/her". -> Our intention is that parents will focus on the developmental activities and adapt them to their child's needs and circumstances, regardless of how we refer to the baby's gender in the example/illustrations. Similar to how parents will digest research and interpret the things they find online to apply to their own situation or family. Since we started this company, we've had a handful of customers write in to ask this same thing and we explain it as we do above, and also offer them a full refund and to return the book if it wasn't what they expected. To date and we've only ever had one person choose to do so. While it may seem like a larger issue to an expecting parent before your child is born, our customers have come back time and again to tell us that the real value is the quality of the content and helping give them peace of mind and creative activities for playtime. Must have for first time moms

As a first time mom I wasn’t sure what all I should do with a newborn to help development. These cards helped me start her education journey early and are of good quality. The ring to attach the cards to helps keep them in order and they are easy to wipe clean if they get dirty. The cards are a bit bigger than I thought they would be but they are not too big to take on the road

A Gentle Reminder

I’m a visual and a paper (books) person. This is a nice gentle reminder of things to toss in during play that are developmentally appropriate. We keep it near the play mat for when our brains are tired and running on empty. Also a nice reminder that you’re doing enough as a parent too.

Really cool

So I’ve got these because I always seen the loverey ones that are similar and I really wanted something to help me play with my young baby, some of the reviews made me a little hesitant because it just seemed like there wasn’t much on here but that’s not true. There is quite a bit of stuff on here you can do and use. They’re even better than the books. It is really pricey tho, I was a little iffy on getting it at first and I really was trying to find anything else that didn’t cost as much. So I believe if you bring down the price a little bit, you could sell these like crazy.

Engaging and Purposeful Activities

Full of fun ideas! I liked that there were suggested activities for such a wide range of ages. The activities were engaging and seemed to be of great value for my child while learning new skills. The books itself is a great toy since it’s durable and the pages don’t tear. I wish there were advanced activities that it had as well.

The items in this are fun and not things I would normally think to do with my baby. However if you google age appropriate activities to do with your baby you can find the same information. Save your money
