AmScope 144 LED Intensity-Adjustable Ring Light: Stereo Microscope Accessory with Black Housing

I’m usually against buying cheap versions of equipment but in this cast I was proved wrong. It’s surprisingly good quality and considering the price, I’m very happy with it. I’ve used expensive professional ring lights ($200+) for work in the jewelry industry and so far this one is right up there with them at 10% the price. The brightness control knob feels surprisingly smooth and the power adapter fits snug in the jack so I’m not worried about it accidentally pulling out. The case is plastic but it’s not bulky like some of the other models I’ve used, especially considering it houses all of the controls. It’s a light.. it works well, it’s cheap, and doesn’t feel like junk.. don’t waste your money on the expensive versions that are made pretty much the same

You can't beat this for the price..! Adapter ring. incorrect to thread into my microscope, so I attached ring to scope with Gorilla Super Glue. Rock solid in seconds...! ( I mention this because not all plastics work with all adhesives, but this held securely for months now with recommended product....order a tube in case you have the same situation with your Bausch & Lomb stereo microscope.)

I mounted this item to the quill of one of my drill press's and it works great. It uses M5 thumbscrews I substituted with soft-tip setscrews; this was done to help minimize vibration and allows for secure mounting without over-tightening; in this application, the supplied thumbscrews would otherwise fracture/break its collar from vibration while in use. Nifty product; saves me from having to make one myself...

Easy to install and gives me so much more light.

The ring light works great, on my digital microscope camera, the brightness can be adjusted using a knob on the side, I can recommend this product.

Nice even light over the viewing area. Seems to be well built. Pleased with the purchase.

A very satisfying product. My previous light was on a flexible stalk, and put the light where I needed it on my inspection microscope, but required readjustment whenever I needed to look at different side or angle. Now I have no shadows anywhere. The included adapter ring fit my American Optical unit perfectly. The dimming switch is convenient and provides a wide range of brightness.

I used to order these form a dental supplier and paid 10 x more. These ring lights don't last long and have to be replaced every few years. Since this one is new to me, I can not tell you how long it will last, nut I am more than impressed about the brightness and quality. Will buy these for all of my microscopes.

Este anillo de luz lo compré para dar mejor iluminación al utilizar mi estereoscopio trinocular. Da muy buena iluminación, sin embargo, crea un reflejo de luz blanca en forma de círculo (ver foto). Esto resulta muy molesto al tomar fotos y si está trabajando con superficies líquidas (platos de Petri con alcohol) el reflejo es casi insoportable (al menos para mí). Por lo tanto, si vas a observar objetos sólidos en tu estereoscopio, este anillo de luz te será muy útil, pero si trabajas con materiales líquidos (muestras de insectos que necesitan estar sumergidas en alcohol o etanol) el reflejo podría molestarte.
