The RODE M5 Matched Pair microphones are incredible for their price. As a beginner in audio technology, I was hesitant about the cost of other options, but I have no regrets about these. Paired with the Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen, they deliver stunning clarity and precision. I use them to record my Yamaha U1 upright piano, and the sound quality is exceptional. They capture every nuance, from deep bass to treble, bringing my recordings to life. Highly recommended for anyone looking for affordable, high-quality microphones! These sound great, and seem to be able to take quite a high SPL. I'm Using them on a Piano for live performances. They get the job done, and are a big upgrade from the SM57 we used to use.

I got these as part of my mobile recording set up for a lot of choir stuff that I do for work. Not only do they have fabulous sound quality, but they’re also super tough and feel solid and robust. Solid microphones, certainly worth the investment because you’ll have these for the next 10 years if you treat them right.

I was a little worried when I first got this since I saw all of the reviews when I first purchased it. But I found this tool to save me so much time. I had a project where we were running new cables and we had a long run that took a lot of effort to put up. So, we really didn't want to redo it. This saved us an easy hour by just pluging in the 2 sides. the directions are clear and simple and you can even stick them on the side of the device with a sticker.

Todo bien, el micrófono suena bien, muy top sin embargo algo que realmente me incomodó muchísimo es que el paquete haya llegado abierto, la caja rota y el paquete te abierto, entiendo que quizás deban revisar en aduanas (por cierto es la primera vez que me abren un paquete, no sé quien lo abrió ni la razón), pero porqué romper la caja? a mi casa llegó en una bolsa, dentro de la bolsa estaba la caja rota, no la abrieron, la rompieron, y eso sí me incomodó pues si llegaba mal, cómo podría hacer? a quién podría reclamar?

I've owned a few RODE microphones over the years and have appreciated that RODE has been a pioneer in manufacturing microphones that home studio enthusiasts can afford while still bringing quality products that continue to be manufactured in Australia rather than the dime a dozen mic factories of the far east. The M5's are a great value at $200/pair, sound very neutral, slightly warm, without the shrill high end that is apparent in many inexpensive microphones. I'm using them primarily to mic acoustic guitar in stereo and they sound phenomenal! Very clear and detailed, don't require too much mic preamp gain, and give a very honest and articulate representation of the source. These are a pair of microphones you can keep in your studio for a very long time, and with the 10 Year Warranty provided by RODE, it's peace of mind to know the company will stand behind their product. Seguimos probándolos pero a priori funcionan muy bien, lo que hemos grabado con ellos se escucha muy limpio y equilibrado. Son nuestro primer par de micrófonos de este tipo así que me temo que no los he podido comparar con otros dispositivos por mi mismo.

Finally got to test these out- I'm actually really pleased with these mics especially for the price.

These things definitely serve their purpose for me. Whether I want to record in stereo, use to mic drums, or just want a different sound on my acoustic for a change they do the job well. This was my first time buying a Rode product and I'm pleased! They came packaged as if I just bought them from the store. The clips they came with are a perfect fit. I put tape around one just to tell them apart when recording in stereo. Delivered sooner than the estimated delivery time as well!

Le package carton contient en particulier les 2 microphones M5 certifiés appairés, leur magnifique clip de fixation et leur bonnette anti-pop. D'autres éléments sont inclus incluant une excellente notice indiquant tous les modes de prise de son possibles. Les capsules microphoniques à condensateur sont des 1/2" plaquées or. On veillera donc à éviter d'exposer ces micros à l'humidité trop longtemps. A l'enregistrement une neutralité de bon aloi se remarque immédiatement tant sur le plan vocal qu'instrumental grâce à une réponse en fréquence étendue et peu accidentée, de la finesse et plein de détails. Avec 19 dB le bruit résiduel est faible et permet sans problème le field recording avec un enregistreur digital ou un boîtier USB à faible bruit suivi d'un ordinateur. La sensibilité de -34 dB permet un niveau de sortie suffisant en toute circonstances. La pression acoustique admissible est élevée avec 140 dB SPL ce qui simplifiera beaucoup l'ajustage des niveaux d'enregistrement. Nous sommes en présence d'excellents micros à condensateur auxquels il ne manque qu'un commutateur de filtre passe-haut. C'est finalement secondaire tant le comportement cardioïde est bien maîtrisé. La conception respire la grande classe et la signature Rode est désormais une référence chez les pros ou les semi-pros. A noter que comme d'habitude chez Rode la pin de masse sur la prise XLR est proéminente pour éviter une ronflette néfaste à l'insertion et au retrait de cette XLR. La photo jointe montre un test parfaitement réussi de prise de son en mode ORTF et field recording. A noter l'utilisation de l'accessoire Rode "Stereo BAR" quasi indispensable. Vous l'aurez compris, ces excellents Rode M5 sont à utiliser sans modération.
