EDIT (23/08/19): Added in battery life testing, will slightly change my opinions about these earbuds but they're still very great otherwise I’ve bought from Back Bay Audio prior to buying these earbuds (American EQ 40) and because of that, I knew these earbuds would be amazing from the start. Where to start? Well, of course, great audio quality as I was expecting from Back Bay Audio, banging bass! I use a customised EQ on Spotify all the time and these earbuds really bring out the lows and highs (which is my preference, I usually keep the mids pretty quiet). To be honest, I actually found these earbuds to have better sound quality than the American EQ 40s, these earbuds sound more fuller than the EQ 40s. Battery life; during my testing, the claims for 8-hour playtime is true. 40-hour total playtime, not so much. I’m not sure if it’s because of the battery capacity itself or because of standby time. You’ll find my battery life testing at the bottom of this review. There’s one thing I’ve noticed as well, on every occasion where the right earbud runs out of battery, there’s always 60% battery left on the left earbud. And also right when the charging case hits 25% battery (indicated with 1 quick flash of the blue light), it stops charging the earbuds altogether even though when it just flashed 2 times earlier. Comfort; using it for the first time was a bit difficult to find the perfect spot for the best sound quality (even right now while I’m listening with these earbuds while writing this review, I still have to adjust a bit to find the just-right spot). Unfortunately, because of this, I have to give it 4 stars in comfort, but when I do find that perfect spot it sits there perfectly without falling out. All in all, if you want great sound quality with excellent battery life in your truly wireless earbuds and don’t want to spend over $100 on AirPods, the Back Bay Duet 50 Earbuds are a major go! Okay, wow. Where to start? The value for these earbuds is beyond amazing. I have basically zero complaints, but I'll try to give a well-rounded review. The Feel: As someone with small ears, I do struggle to keep these in at times. No matter what size tip I use. For some reason my right in particular refuses to stay in but I finally figured out how to get the left to stay. This is more a me issue though, nothing to do with the buds. They don't hurt at all, and despite looking a bit bulky in your ear, they're really not at all heavy. The Sound: If you're looking for a sound system to blow you away? These probably won't do it. If you're not super picky and just want a clean, crisp sound for music? These are great! I don't think they're revolutionary in the sense of their sound- so those seeking the BEST sounding earbuds will look elsewhere. However, for the average listener, I really can't complain. They're clear, crisp, and plenty loud if you want them to be- without blasting those around you with your choice in music. :P The Battery Life: O. M. G. I can't even begin to praise this aspect enough. I bought these mainly for my bf to use on his way to and from work (he walks) but we both use them throughout the week. It's been two weeks. Each earbud gets about 10 hours, give or take, of use PER DAY between the two of us. WE HAVEN'T CHARGED THEM YET. When I tell you the battery life on these things is possibly far better than advertised? I mean it. Like... I've been on calls with these things for 6+ hours NON-STOP and I don't even get a low battery warning. I don't know what it is but I think the battery in these will be hard to beat. The Mic: VERY impressive. Each bud has a mic in it and it is very clean and clear. It blocks out background noise VERY well. Not much to say here other than 10/10!! I like that each bud has a mic because I often only use one at a time when taking calls and these can do just that! Overall: Extremely impressive ear-buds for the cost. They've got a nice, sleek design and the charging box is convenient and long-lasting. It is a bit difficult to press the answer/end call button on the bud itself while it's in your ear, but that's not a huge deal for someone like me. I just grip the bud in my ear by the edges and push to keep it from pushing further into my ear. If you're looking for a general use type of wireless mic / earbuds, these are a great, solid choice. I'm so impressed with these it's crazy.

I love everything about these! I am really picky when it comes to sound quality or else I just get a headache. Fit the right size end on and you have great bass. Lift the top of your ear as your putting them in too and you get a tight seal! Superb audio balance crystal clear and it sounds like your songs are coming in from side by side, front and back! You know when you have to turn up your music to get that quality of sound your looking for? Well these play that sound quality at every volume level. Not only that! You know when different songs have different loudness to them and your constantly making your volume louder or softer to compensate? Well... I was shocked that it balances the volume with every song that is played! I am soo impressed. Some reviews are saying the bass sucks but it doesn’t. I’d rather have quality balanced sound all around, rather than having to compensate the integrity of the music just so you have to turn it up for bass, and the bass is there not sure why ppl don’t think so. Nice and short ear plugs keep my ears from throbbing from extensive use. If you want the bigger plugs in the end, they do fit with a little tough love on them. Helps if you fold them inside out and push them on hard, you can’t hurt them they are tough. And wow. The play time is aaaaaaamazing. 8-10 hrs??? This is unheard of!
