Delicious but overpriced depending on demand, the less popular flavors are much cheaper which shows how they roll ... Not sure why but this is the only good mushroom jerky around.

You might get a bag from a very old batch. This was not edible to me. It was not chewy at all. The pieces of jerky were very dry, some of them snapped in two.

I do not like mushrooms at all. I also don’t really care for jerky. I love this! I decided to try it because a friend recommended it especially the Zesty Thai flavor. This is the only flavor I’ve tried so far. Their website makes it clear it isn’t to be compared to beef jerky so I think that’s why some unhappy reviews here. “Please note, Pan's Mushroom Jerky isn't trying to completely imitate beef, and you should expect to experience the shiitake mushroom flavor and texture come through in our product - which we love and embrace.” I love that it’s a healthy product and I’m happy to find a way to get in healthy mushrooms since I don’t like them. I wish there was a bigger price break for buying more as I want to order again! I ate the bags way too fast!!

These are usually nice and soft and easy to chew. This batch of 3 bags were extremely hard and had a slight burnt taste to them like they were cooked or dried out too long. Quite dissapointing cause I've always been a huge fan. Not so much anymore.

I don't understand all the negative reviews about these mushroom jerkies. I've tried a TON of different vegan jerkies, and as a health junkie, this is by far my absolute favorite. It's soft and chewy and has amazing flavor. Not to mention, pretty simple and clean ingredients- no seed oils and gluten free. The ONLY thing I'd mention here is that it does have chia seeds... which are pretty high in oxalates and can irritate the gut for sensitive people. Chia seeds aren’t automatically high in mold or mycotoxins, but they do fall into a category of foods where quality and storage matter more. High heat can kill mold, but it doesn’t necessarily remove mycotoxins if they’re present. Since this is the last ingredient, most likely it's used as a binder. Overall, highly recommended!

I love the rich umami satisfying taste of this mushroom jerky. I wish (now that I become older) it was made with less sugar, now that I can only ingest less than 24 grams of sugar a day, the whole package has 6gram of added sugar, which isn't awful, but I wish it has no sugar at all. The entire package has 16 grams of sugar, so now I must be cognizant that I can't scarf down the entire bag in one seating. I also wish that the full bag of 2.2 oz costs about $7.00 a bag. I recognize that shitake mushrooms cost way more than supermarket white button mushrooms. I do appreciate that that you post a kosher certification on the bag. My husband loves the Thai flavoring so I keep 3-4 bags around the house for him. I'd buy more if your sell price was 3-4.00 dollar range. With increased volume do you see the possibility of ever reducing your approximately $7.00 dollar sell price ? Or since my M.D. wants me to cut my sugar intake, perhaps the $7.00 price at Whole Foods keeps my sugar intake to a minimum !! Still I thank you & your partner coming up with this fabulous snack food 7 I wish you great success in the future. I will simply learn to eat 25% of your 2.2 oz bags over 4 days. This is a fantastic product. I appreciate that you came up with this meaty, yet vegan & Kosher snack food. I recommend all the Pan's Mushroom Jerky for everyone reading this review. I hope you exceed the anticipated sales you wished for on Shark Tank.

I liked this product so much so that I have a subscription for it. Here is the thing...it used to taste soft...easy to come apart and flavory. What I am receiving now is not the same. I ordered 4 packages and all 4 packages consisted of a product that was sub par to what i was receiving when I first started purchasing this product. Usually I would get a package like this previously and say...ok, i got a bad batch...the other packages will be better. So what I receive now is a product that you can chew and chew and its very hard to swallow....so much so that you can lose a tooth if you are not careful. The product no longer has that same texture where it is easy to tear a piece off. Not the same texture and not the same flavory taste. Its as if im buying a product that is past its expiration date. I do not know if I will keep my subscription. Hope you guys have better luck.

Excellent product for vegetarians. Salt and Pepper is the best flavor. That one is 5/5. The original lacks a little flavor and others are pretty good.
