I had a kidney transplant 4 months ago and unfortunately, one of the immunosuppressants has many side effects, one of them being hair loss. As a woman, this is devastating. My once thick hair has thinned significantly and I have really taken a hit to my self esteem. My transplant doctor gave me the OK to use biotin supplements and I chose this one. It's been about a month now and while my hair is still falling out, it seems to have slowed a bit. I don't know if that's related to the biotin or something else. What I have noticed is that my nails look beautiful - better than they have in years. They were thin, splitting and peeling and now they are incredibly strong, thick and hard. So I'm guessing if you are a normal, healthy person with thinning hair, this will probably help you. And in my experience, it's a miracle worker for your nails.

This stuff works well. I got more new growth with this brand than any other. I could tell the difference because the only patch of hair in the middle of my head needed a color touch up 2 weeks earlier than the usual every 5 weeks. I love Doctor's Best supplements. I can trust that they're of good guality and effective. I took these biotin supplements along with Dr's Best MSM powder. They work well together. Biotin of any brand doesn't cause me to break out so I can't comment too much about that, but I can say that I've never taken more than 5000 to 6000 mcg of any brand of biotin per day.

Noticed good benefits after taking this supplements

Not all biotin works, this one does and I'm on my second bottle. I mainly take it for my hair and nails. As menopause took over my life it caused my hair to thin severly, both my nails and hair have become dry and brittle do to hormonal changes. I originally was taking 2 capsules daily and I did this for a month with barely any changes. I upped my dose to 3 caps daily and yes I noticed another small difference. Did this alone work for my hair, no but because using biotin doesn't work, it does but my hormonal changes caused a need for HRT and in combination with bio identical hormones and dietary changes along with this brand of biotin my hair is getting healthier, thicker, stronger, and longer! And my nails are too!! I'll definitely be staying with this brand of biotin and hoping to grow back my full mane again. Side note: I take the 3 caps at once at night before bed. I've also taken this product in the day and I haven't ever experienced any stomach problems.

I don't wanna toot the horn too soon, but gosh I think I reallylove this product. Talk about fast acting. My nails took off. No joke. I've started taking it twice a day with no problems. I also take it with vitamin c and it's been marvelous thus far. The capsules are miniscule so they are verrrrryyyyyeasy to take. I highly recommend this product.

I have been taking Doctor's Best Biotin 5000 mcg, just over a year now. As with any vitamins it’s difficult if not impossible to tell if it’s working. By no means do I have a full head of hair but the little I have has stopped shedding, My nails also grow much faster also.
