Brilliant bark remover tool. Heavy duty steel construction should give many years of use. Nice sharp edge. Works perfectly and great value.

I'm using this for strip barking timber to aid quicker drying for firewood. The spade and long handle used together gives the reach to enable timber to be cut and stripped overhead then left in the air to leaf dry during the summer months before logging up. For this purpose it's ideal. Strong and unbendable. Definitely recommend this HD version. For taking off the entire bark of a log in one piece (for harvesting bark for woodland crafts etc) you'd be much better buying a Morris Bark Peeler or similar.

Ich hatte noch einen Eschenstab, damit funktioniert der Schäler sehr gut. Anschleifen ist absolut nicht nötig. Nach kurzer Nutzung ist der Lack ab und darunter gut scharf. Man braucht etwas Übung um mit Kraft und Schwung unter dicke Rinde zu kommen. Astlöcher sind auch Übungssache. Man muss auch die Technik des Abhebens der Rinde üben, wenn man nicht weit genug in der Rinde ist, kann sich der Schäler minimal verbiegen. Funktioniert aber super auch für dicke Rinde.

Funktioniert einfach und gut. Auf einem (langen) Stiel befestigen und los. Die Klinge lässt sich einfach nachschärfen. Für mich als Laien super. Lieferung und Verpackung auch bestens. Empfehle ich gern weiter!
