Barbie Collector Skipper Doll

As a collector, I haven't opened the box. However, just looking at skipper and all the accessories, it really took me back to my childhood. Wish I had bought her when she first hit the market, but the price wasn't absurd compared to other sites. I appreciated that. There are good prices online, but you have to search. Love her dress! Skippers white socks, shoes and gloves bring back memories of how my Mom dressed me 50 years ago. Her straw hat wrapped with blue ribbon is nicely packaged along with all the birthday accessories. I had the Blonde and brown haired skipper in the red bathing suit back in the day, but never this one. So, thanks to my husband for my 58th birthday present. Cheaper than jewelry, and I look forward to handing her down to my granddaughters or great-nieces.

I loved Barbie since 1959. Purchasing the extras was out of the question at the time. I am now gratifying the child in me by buying special pieces as they appear on the market. To me, this is a collector piece. The details in the outfit and accompanying pieces, like the headband and party gift are as well mad eas they were years ago. This was always a big perk for Barbie, attention to the little details. This is a piece that is definitely worth the price. If you collect, seriously consider it. If you just buy what catches your eye, I don't think you would be disappointed.

I have been wanting a skipper to replace the one I had as a child. I had the brunette & my sister chopped all her hair off! The doll was eventually replaced with a malibu skipper but I loved the one with the smooth shiny hair. This doll is truly a treasure.

It was in excellent condition, except for the box being bent in and some scratches hear and there. Overall the doll and little items were perfect and in mint condition, and all not opened.

I already have the 50th anniversary Barbie, and I did not know that they were having an Anniversary Skipper. I found it by chance, and it is simply beautiful.

This doll is a must for any real Barbie collector. It sold out on the Barbie site very quickly, I was happy to find it on Amazon.

What's not to love?She is such a beautiful little doll.Soft hair, gorgeous dress and tiny gloves, socks and shoes and a lovely hat and hair band.The accessories are so cute!She came out of the box immediately to have a proper party with her little friends.Her price seems to have shot up since she was purchased but if you can find her at a reasonable price, (or afford the silly prices), then treat yourself or someone you really, really love and have a tea party.I'm sure she will share her cake!Very happy to have her in my collection :o)

Very happy and worth the money

This is an excellent quality doll and is usually only available on US websites at a far more higher price. Very pleased to find it here on a UK website and postage was very reasonable.
