Fun project
A fun project. We are happy with the greenhouse. It would be nice if it came with some seeds to plant and the price point was a little lower.

My 11 yr old nephew loved it!
Bought this for my 11 year old nephew. He absolutely loved it. Definitely would recommend.

Very disappointed. Not worth $$
Extremely difficult to put the entire thing together. The first half is straight forward but then the instructions lack much clarity on how to do the rest. Very disappointed.

Nice building set, but crazy overpriced.
This is a “real” greenhouse. Meaning that you can actually grow things inside. . . But. . soil and seeds not include. But even if you wanted to actually try and grow something. . . It’s very small, so you’ll just get the plants started before you have to transplant. This build kit comes in a nice box, which makes it easy to wrap, if you’re giving it as a gift. This set is Made in China and being sold by a U.S. company on Amazon. At the current price of 80 bucks, it’s at least 60 bucks overpriced. There are lots of similar sets being sold by Chinese companies on Amazon right now for less money. . . though many/most are still overpriced.

Fun project - not useful
My wife are, admittedly, not the target audience for this kit. We thought it looked fun to put together and it appeared to be a project that could provide us with a usable 'greenhouse' for starting plants. First, the project part... It was a fun project for us 50 somethings to put together. The printed instructions were mostly very clear. For the couple of places where we couldn't figure out the printed instructions, there were 3D-rendered video instructions. Far from being the same instructions, it appears that two different designers created the printed and video instructions. So between the two sets of instructions, they were very clear and useful. The design and parts are well conceived. Now for the greenhouse part... This really couldn't be used as a functional greenhouse. There are just too many large gaps between the 'glass' and girders or glass and glass. The greenhouse wasn't capable of keeping in either heat or moisture. I've added red arrows in the images to help you see where the gaps are or where the plastic sides were bowed out because they were too large. We went ahead and tried growing some plants in it but had to abandon the greenhouse after a few days and move them to other spaces.

I got this for my high schooler
I got this for my daughter, who is taking biology this year in high school. She's expressed a lot of disappointment with biology, as she expected more hands-on with real stuff, instead of a whole lot more chemistry. So a Botany Laboratory seemed pretty ideal to me. She has always liked building toys (legos and such), so something where she gets to build the greenhouse and then work with things she can actually see? Yeah, perfect. I earned a biology minor in college, so this is an area I can get a bit geeky about too. I'm hugely impressed with the little booklet that comes with the kit. It isn't overly technical, but it does explain a lot of basic plant biology without dumbing it down. Fantastic inclusion of vocabulary, including an explanation of at least some of the Greek and Latin roots (autotroph comes from "Greek words 'autos' (self) and 'trophe' which means food.") The lab part has you looking at all kinds of things, like temperature, water, sunlight, and oxygen. I'm totally impressed, and my daughter does like the hands-on, practical application of the concepts she has been learning in class. And building stuff is always a good thing!

Pretty cool
This Engino mini green house looked pretty darn cool and I thought my 10 year old would really enjoy it. He’s not much of a builder, but between the two of us we got it set up. The directions are pretty well laid out, though I could see them being a bit confusing for a kid. My son has been really enjoying growing a few little plants inside also. Overall happy!
