This item did not work for my needs, but gave it a try. They are well made.

Replaced my old slat holders well.

Did the job in that I managed to fix a few broken caps. Would be better though if they have a space in each side to put the slat in. You need to put the slat in first before screwing these in place or else you can't get it in. Look sturdy though.

Really good for replacing the ones that were broken as they are exactly the same, held them in place with short screws through the holes provided in the brackets.
