This thing is fantastic! I have sharpened many pocket knives and one large fixed blade, I even used it to sharpen a windlass cobra stel wakazashi short sword! I have had other simular style knife sharpeners some double the price that arent as good as this one. Not only has this one done a better job of sharpening but it seems to be much more durable and lasting much longer. Im going to buy more of these and put one with each of my large survival type knives and machetes. I havent tested the fire steel but who cares, Im sure it will work and its just a bonus anyways, its the sharpener thats impressive ad makes this well worth the $9 I highly sugest getting one and seeing for your self, I bet after using it you buy a few more. This would make a great stocking stuffer for any knife lover. It even sharpened a knife I have that is cheap steel and refuses to take an edge from other simular sharpeners. Just get one, you wont be let down.

Works great on all my pocket knives. It's great for camping not only because it has a fishing hook sharpener, a whistle but also a fire starter that works very well and lasts a very long time

Ok, I've owned the other one of these by the company staying with an "S". Had it for years from the days when I was active duty. This is one performs like that but better. It is larger so big hands, small hands ... Whatever, it will be very comfortable using. The added spark rod is a plus. If your blade needs a touch up stick to the ceramic. It does a fine job of getting it sharp. If your knife is a edc all purpose, in need of serious TLC....use the coarse then ceramic. This is great for field use! Used it on my machete and my fishing filet knife no issues.

We purchased a couple of these, sharing them with a few relatives who are intense hikers. We also purchased for ourselves and our survival kit. We live on the oceanfront and put in our Tsunami bug out kit. It has the all important sharpener aspect, but also a fire starter. A whistle, etc. Husband reports that the sharpener works very well on his pocket knife collection. Win/win. We probably all need one of these! Small, compact and easy to carry or put into a kit. It's ok I don't know if I'm doing it wrong, but I've watched several videos and tried them on different knives, and it does kind of sharpen, but nothing compared to what they're advertising, it can't take the knife across a piece of paper with little to no resistance, that doesn't exist with sharpener, and again, this is a very simple Design,ease of use is a little bit difficult because it's Very light weight.small. Storage capability. I'm just gonna keep it in my bug out bag right now fits and smaller spots. Okay if you really need it Comfort wise is a bit sketchy. Fire starter works really good. But as someone stated in their other review, the fire stick does not state. Put shakes around a lot. And at least the diamond filer for serrated edges. I guess kinds of work.

Molto ben fatto, funzionale, leggero e comodo. L'ho usato per affilare coltelli, per affilare la falce ed altri strumenti da lavoro. E' economico, leggero e ben fatto, ha tutto quello che serve per affilare e tenere in funzione strumenti anche pesanti. L'affilacoltelli Victorinox fa esattamente la stessa cosa di questo: mangiando un po' di lama rifà il filo. Non lo userei quindi su costosi coltelli forgiati ma lo uso su tutti i coltelli stampati che ho, soprattutto quelli da esterno! Prova del taglio carta superato anche dal falcetto! Insomma, affila bene, costa il giusto ed è pratico, un must per me!

Je viens de recevoir mon second sharpal, après des années de pierre japonaise etc .... j'ai voulus testé une méthode différente et surtout moins casse co**** que les pierres à aiguisé . Je fais beaucoup de randonnée et je vais entamé bientôt des road trip en italie, allemagne etc et que dire mise a part que ce produit et juste idéal ! - Ultra léger 6 en 1 - Sifflet de survie - fireSteel de secours et L'aiguisage qui pour l'instant est parfait je l'ai pas encore testé sur mes couteau Joker de bushcraft, Joker Nomad et Joker Avispa je ferais une update je pense quand ils auront perdue de leur tranchant pour l'instant aucun aiguisage nécessaire . Bref j'ai aiguisé mon opinel de survie et mes opinel de maison et franchement bravo !!! Je préparer de la viande pour mon déshydrateur, impossible de faire de fine tranche, après 10 passage sur le sharpal pour testé, j'ai réussi à faire des tranches d'une épaisseur de 2-5 mm facilement, En regardant la lame au soleil on aperçoit parfaitement l'aiguisage qui est top . Bref pour la rando/bushcraft etc foncé

Very neat nifty gadget, works very nicely to reshape and sharpen knife blades, will work on titanium blades but I wouldn’t recommend sharpening those often on this. For thicker knives like the gerber strongarm knife it will score the side of the black oxide layer off if you aren’t careful. The flint and steel part works almost flawlessly, the reshapen rube tool won’t work well, and the ceramic sharpening side similarly doesn’t produce much sparks with the flint, the reshapen part does work flawlessly when you get the hang of it. I’d recommend based on the price and small form factor but I’d love to see one that’s more designed for larger/thicker knives.
