Solid cable with option for additional power option at female end
It's a solid cable, which I'm using to connect a DSL router to a 4G modem for backup when OpenReach shows why the UK has the worst broadband in Europe. 4mm round cable can easily be clipped to get my modem to a window, and I'd have no qualms about running out outside. It's a solid cable. One of the reasons why 10m USB extensions aren't common is that the signal is degraded and the ability to transmit power is weakened. In my case, it happily send 20Mbps 4G down the cable, which is the limit of the modem. When I plugged it into an android phone for USB tethering, the power delivery was not enough to keep the phone charged (though the port from the router on a shorter cable could). The makers recognise this and supply an optional power plug to get the extra boost. This would have been needed to keep a phone net charging, but is no problems for a 4G modem.

Works well
A good quality product that works. It seems to perform perfectly well without powering up the internal booster, so I wonder if it is simply an led rather than what they claim it has. I using it to connect to a printer and I haven't noticed any speed reduction.

Needs External Power
Bought this to significantly extend the reach of a barcode scanner in a retail environment. My fault as I didn't read the bumph well enough but it requires external power supply (at the far end of the cable which is a minor inconvenience). Otherwise a decent product that works a treat. Just took some bodging to get power to where it was required. In hindsight I could have used the 10m passive version had I measured properly, but you live and learn. Product would be more useful if the power connection was at the near end of the cable and not the remote end.

OK but failed after 3 months of fairly heavy use
OK but cable became unreliable and caused multiple disconnects after about 4 months of use. having said that it was ofetn plugged in and unplogged as it was used for my VR headset. worked fine till it broke.
