Hunter/SGA Cheek Riser Kit, Black, High

Works as intended. I got these to use on my Magpul Hunter stocks. I have 2 - One for a Ruger American Rifle, and one on a Ruger 10-22. Its great that these are interchangeable between the different stocks. I am easily able to adjust to the right height for the scope. Only need to take out one screw, pull the butt plate back about 1/2 inch, and lift off the riser and replace as needed. It would be nice if Magpul sold these individually. Another tip for Magpul to improve, would be to have some kind of soft cushion attachment that we could add to this for comfort. Overall this is another great product from Magpul, in line with their normal standards, and what you would expect.

...due to a large objective bell on my scope. Great Magpul build quality, matches my grey stock very closely, and fitment is always A+ with Magpul. The only gripe I have is the way the are sold. I didn't need 2 risers, and I did know that I needed the high riser (0.75") for my application. Now I have this piece of polymer sitting around wasting space. I just wish I didn't have to buy 2 pieces just to get the 1 piece I needed.

Upgraded to the hunter stock on my rifle. This riser kit enabled me to get the perfect comb night for a perfect sight picture.

Two birds one stone. Brings two risers. Easy to install and works as intended.

Helped my aim. On 22 compilation

I really like my Ruger 10/22 Target 22 LR so bought a composite stock from Magpul and it made my Ruger 10/22 a really nice gun to shoot. Then the Magpul riser kit was introduced and bought it to make a better cheek to stock fit. It made the gun so much comfortable to shoot and easier to line up cheek to stock fit. Quality from Magpul has never been an issue. The riser kit is another one of their quality upgrades along with their stock replacements. I am very happy to make my Ruger 10/22 Target into a more accurate shooter as well as a more comfortable gun to shoot and to line up my shot faster. Dr Dave. Utah

I use these on a 10/22 mounted in the Magpul Hunter X-22 stock. The $64,000 question for most people is which riser they need for their scope height. My rifle is setup with the scope fairly high to allow my head to be as vertical as possible for offhand shooting, but the rifle is used some for CMP Rimfire Sporter so it has to be shootable in all three positions. My setup is: scope: Nikon Prostaff Target EFR 3-9x40 AO in Weaver Grand Slam (high) rings I tried the High Cheek riser first and shot the rifle this way for about a month. This was just about right height-wise, but I have full cheeks and if I bring my head down tight on the riser my cheek padding was just thick enough to push my eye off center. I found myself tilting my head to get my eye centered in the scope to keep from canting the rifle. The Medium riser is about a 1/4" shorter than the High riser. This doesn't seem like much, but it was the room I needed to get a very consistent cheek weld without pushing my eye off center. If you find that little bit of room drops your eye below center, you can always add a thin pad to the riser but you are out of luck if the riser is too tall. A person with a thinner face would probably prefer the High riser with my setup. If you are using Medium scope rings, you would probably want the Medium cheek riser.
