This brand of faucets are some of the best on the market. This part was inside , deep, in the faucet but once you got it apart it went together like a glove.-awesome

I was somehow able to figure out this was the part I needed after snapping mine off accidentally when bumping into it. Replacing was quick and easy

One of my grohe volume knobs was missing this and merely stuck into the wall. To install, you simply need to trim both pieces with a hack saw or dremel if it's too long, screw it in, and then screw the volume knob over it.

really neat design that allows for multiple wall depths, you can also get another version of this that is twice as long in case the control body is really really deep in the wall.

Bought a thermostatic valve and 2 volume controls for a shower. When installing the extension on one volume control the plastic shattered. I am also having issues with the thermostatic valve, emailed Grohe about the problem and they said they would send a replacement cartridge. That was one month ago. I have emailed once a week to see when I should expect the replacement and have not recieved a response. Anyway, their customer service is lame. I am going to my supply house tomorrow (where I bought the valve) and see if they can get me in touch with a local Grohe rep. I have used and recommended Grohe for a long time, my client went with HansGrohe for a second shower because of this situation and I will admit the HansGrohe seems superior in quality. Because of the customer service response I will not be using Grohe in the future.
