Jessica Simpson Women's Mandalaye Ballet Flat

These Jessica Simpson Women's Mandalaye Ballet Flats are so, so, cute and super comfortable. These shoes feature a leather, ballet-style, upper. The sole is a black, rubber-like, material and has maybe a 1/4" elevation at the heel. There is a wide, elastic band which criss-crosses in the front to serve as an ankle strap and add a fashion touch. They are low cut at the toe area so there will definitely be toe cleavage. The front toe is squared off like a ballet pointe shoe - very cute. There is slight padding in the insole and no arch support. While I wouldn't call these wide width, because of the low cut in front and the sides, it seems to fit a wider foot pretty well because the elastic straps keep the foot firmly in place. But I have a narrow foot and I tried these on and they seemed to stay on fine. I got these as a gift for a teen young lady and they look adorable with jeans and with dresses and skirts. She loves that they stay on when she is running for the bus. I am going to buy a pair for myself since they look and feel so nice.

I bought these to wear under a bridesmaid dress and they were SUPER comfortable for running around and dancing. It was a rainy outdoor wedding and these held up surprisingly well, not leaking at all after stomping around on the wet lawn and looking good as new after a wipe down. The grip was also pretty good, with the wet dancefloor being a pretty good test of that (I didn't slip at all, while some of the men were complaining!). They also looked great with jeans and any old thing I was wearing and I got lots of compliments on them. I only packed 3 pairs of shoes on a recent overseas trip and these were perfect as my dress shoes AND go-with-anything daily wear shoes (my other 2 pairs were flip flops and sneakers). They fit a little larger than expected... I am a US size 6 in 80% of the flats I buy and this was a bit large, but looking at the sizing chart, I probably should've known to size down as my feet are exactly what the size 5.5 measurements are. I kept the size 6 ones, though, because I didn't have time to return them and the 1/4 inch difference was easily fixed by heel pads. They also stay on just fine without any padding because of the elastics, but I feel there's just a BIT too much toe cleavage without the padding. I like how the toe cleavage looks with my feet pushed comfortably forward in the shoe, but I also have short toes, so those with longer toes who are picky about this sort of thing should probably try these on before buying. All in all, these have very quickly become one of my favorite pairs of shoes and I've already recommended them to my friends and my mom!

I Love these! They're super cute with everything, light weight and comfortable. There's not much cushioning but ice worn them for several hours and the bottoms of my feet haven't hurt; which I was surprised by! They do run small so I wish I had went up a half size but, I love them and am making them work.

The shoes are absolutely beautiful. They run small. I wear a size 12, but they felt like an 11. I would have ordered another size, but they don't carry womens 13. I thought they were much nicer in person that the photo. I am super sad I cannot get a larger size. Order 1 size larger. So pretty! The ribbon around the ankle is gorgeous and they are sparkly. Seems well made, but I couldn't wear them.

Pics attached are what they did to my feet after putting them on for just dinner, sitting at the restaurant for an hour or so, and taking a walk afterward for about 20 minutes. Meaning, on top of not recommending wearing them to a desk job or school, where there is minimal walking and mostly sitting all day, they are not safe to wear at all. I am 5’6 and weigh 135 lbs for reference. Can’t get a refund either because outside of the return period, first time worn- though as this is atrocious, the right thing to do would be to make an exception in the form of a credit, which I won’t even be attempting given multiple prior disappointing experiences. What a comedown from what used to be

I was never crazy about her as a celebrity, but I continue to be a huge fan of the Jessica Simpson brand, especially the shoes. I fully intend to wear these until they're falling off, then order another pair. Fit: Perfect. I have normal-width feet that generally fit into a 9 or 9.5 in most shoes. I went with the 9.5 here, and it fits like a dream. Style: Couldn't be better. I purchased the taupe, which has maybe just slightly more grey than displayed, but it's still a warm and beautiful, year-round color. I especially like that the body of the shoe is a matte suede while the straps are a shiny satin. It's a nice texture variation and an extra nod to the design of a real ballet shoe. Pros: - insanely comfortable - those smooth satiny straps wrap securely around the ankle without choking or chafing - versatile - can't wait to wear these with basically everything in my wardrobe, to the office, out to dinner, sightseeing on vacation, everywhere - reasonably priced - well made and a total bargain for $39.99 in my opinion Cons: - literally my only complaint is that even the lowest low-profile socks are a no-go (the sides of the shoe are just too shallow) Yes, you can see "toe cleavage." Exposure of toe cleavage is not always faux pas, and in fact many upscale designers favor it for its subtle sexuality. If you're that worried about people seeing the cracks of your toes, then by all means avoid this shoe, but you're really missing out.

I bought a pair of these ballet flats back in 2019 and absolutely adored them! They were comfy, stylish, and fit my ankles perfectly. This year, I had to throw them out around mid summer as they were simply worn out from daily wear- to be expected. I recently tried them on again in store to confirm my size and decided to wait for a decent sale on Amazon since I had bought them online previously. Unfortunately, the pair that I ordered this time around don’t live up to the quality of the ones I bought in 2019 or the pair I tried on in Dillard’s a month ago. They are a extremely stiff(may need to walk them in) and the elastic isn’t nearly as soft. Also, the elastic straps are quite big and don’t fit my ankles properly. I’ll give these flats 3 stars since I received in 2 days at a fraction of the original cost(on sale for $25) but disappointed that I didn’t receive what I was expecting- especially since I tried them on in store not too long ago.

I was obsessed with the Chloe ballet flats that cost about 400.00 - I was so obsessed that I spent hours searching online for a knock off pair that didn't look like a knock off - there are so many out there, but they all had something I didn't like about them - the toes on some were not square (which is imperative if you want the "toe shoe" effect"), some had heels that were just to obvious..(these do have heels - & they look big, but they are NOT) - I saw the black pair & thought , "well , I need black flats, so I'll try them out" - when I received them, I was absolutely thrilled..I put them on immediately & wore them around the house all night - they were so authentic looking (I was a ballet dancer for 14 years), and,best of all,they were amazingly comfortable! I couldn't believe it! So I went right back to my computer and looked for them in pink ( the traditional "ballet pink"). Zero Joy. Then I realized that this brand had a color called "natural" - I thought , " well, I love the other ones. So having a pair that are skin tone ( I have very light skin) would be great for times I'm not wearing black" Then they arrived ,and to my amazement, they were actually the ballet pink I had been searching for!! Not only that, but the crisscross elastic was made of a satin elastic!! So pretty & again , so comfortable!! And I have to say, I have become a walking advertisement for these shoes ..people stop me and ask me all the time where I got them..I've even had people offer to buy them from me right then & there! But there's no way I'd part with them..I just direct them here & when I tell them the price they can't believe it! In conclusion , I lucked out like crazy & if you have a thing for those Chloe flats, you won't be disappointed , believe me.
