DCS P-51 Mustang - PC

Very good program. detaisl on the aircraft and ground scenery is excellent. A great game, to play with that has a lot of realism in it.

Well the simulator is good, the only problem I see is that DCS sticks you in modern combat were you don't have the up todate equipment to have a chance

I had great hopes for a simulated flight in the Mustang but was sadly disappointed the video did not operate. I have a quad core with 8GB memory and SSD hard drive. All HD video works great on my computer but this program fails to deliver.

this particular software did not load onto the dell xps, windows 7 laptop; it did load onto the dell 530 desktop with xp, however, the p-51 aircraft was uncontrollable using a cyborb x yoke. dcs offers very fine computer sims typically. it is a mystery why the problems are occurring, but I am determined to get the p-51 sim to work, one way or another. it looks too good not to try.

A well done game that is not for the novice. It is a very detailed simulator in all aspects from start up, taxing, takeoff and on to combat against the enemy. Mastering the tutorial is a must before going into combat.

If you are into flight simulators or want to learn to fly, and like fighter planes, DCS World is second to none. Everything from WWII warbirds to the latest jets. The cockpit controls are accurate, and the appearance quality is spot on. They have an easy " I'm really good " mode, but most importantly they have an absolute authentic mode, where if you screw up, you are dead mode. The modeling is absolutely great. You can play it in any resolution, including 4K, for which you need at least, an RTX 2080Ti to get 60 FPS with mostly high settings. 60 FPS is all you need for smooth motion. You get a T51 trainer (P51 Mustang) with no armaments and a Russian SU 25 for free. You can buy individual modules (Planes and Theaters of combat zones, Missions and Maps) you can create your own Missions, you can play competitively online, but you better actually learn to fly before you try that. Look up DCS World on You Tube. You can play it with a minimum investment in controls or you can spend what you can afford to accessorize it with realistic controls. This is for those who are willing to invest the time to actually learn to fly. There is no "I am an ace mode" instant gratification. The realism is terrific, the difficulty factor is high. The planes and theaters are reasonably priced. If you are up to actually learning something on a video game rather than engaging in unrealistic shooter games, you will actually learn something and have a great time doing it.

Good PC game, DCS does a great job.

I'm used to Microsoft Combat Simulator and, compared to that, it's not worth very much. Too many reasons to list but I would recommend not buying this.
