Cottage Witchery: Natural Magick for Hearth and Home (Ellen Dugan's Garden Witchery, 2) Review: Interesting and helpful book - This book was given to me as a gift when I bought my last house and it’s come quite in handy. I even bought a copy for a friend of mine-it makes a unique housewarming gift! It’s full of really nice information on how to connect with nature to bring positivity into your home. Theres’s little charms to say, decorating ideas, etc. My only complaint is I find it a bit hard to follow and wind up flipping back and forth a lot, but I use this book mostly as reference to what I need, so I don’t find this a problem. I don’t put it away so that I can access it when something arises. I would recommend this book. Review: Absolutly Wonderful!! - Loved, loved, loved this book!! Ellen Dugan is an inspiration for those who want to practice hearth witchery. I felt as if I was at her home enjoying a nice cup of tea and learning all about cottage witchery. I will admit, if you are very strict about how you practice, than this book may not be for you. She is much more fluid and relaxed than most of the other books I've read. Not to say she isn't serious about the craft, she is! She gives you a beautiful way to practice magic in your day to day life. She is an absolute joy to read! I hope she comes out with a follow up as I do agree she could of added a bit more throughout. I could of easily enjoyed the book doubled it's size. I did not find it hurried though. If fact, I read it a little bit at a time as there is a lot of information for someone early in their path. Much Fun - thank you Ellen!

Simple and very useful
This reminds me of the kind of witchcraft that my grandmother might have practiced. Or the kind more commonly done in the south of my childhood. This is a very casual and very effective type of witchcraft and I was actually very impressed with it. Even those of us who have been practicing a more formal brand of magick for years can learn from this, unless, of course, you look down on "kitchen witchery." I very much enjoyed this book. I read the library copy and have put it on my wish list since I found a lot of little herbal and simple magickal secrets that I had forgotten from my very much younger days. I also am recommending this book for several of my friends who are just now considering witchcraft. The author has a sense of humor, and puts a lot of herself into the book. It's a pleasant read, even if you don't use any of the spells. I'd call it a must read to anyone just starting out, and I'd recommend it to those who practice any form of nature based magick.

this ebook has DRM !
I bought this ebook to read, both on my computer and on my e-reader. Unfortunately for me this book has DRM, Digital Rights Management, (otherwise known as Digital Restrictions Management) on it so even thought I payed for the book, I can not read it on my e-reader because my e-reader is not a Kindle. It seems to me that if I pay for a book, I should be able to read it anyway I want. I am not pirating it, I am not reproducing it illegally, I merely want to read it at my leisure. The book itself it great, I love it. Hence the 5 stars. Wish I could read it away from my laptop.

Make Your House a Magickal Home!
I am an advanced practitioner and even I enjoyed this book. It proves that no matter how advanced you are, there is really no need to over complicate matters. This book is full of little nuances, tid bits of info, and the authors personal experiences that the advanced witch can learn from, and a new witch will find invaluable. For the beginner and intermediate witch this is a must have manual for the magickal home. For the advanced witch this is a guidebook worth having as a reference in ones library. When things feel off, cluttered, stagnant, out of whack, or your moving into a new home or even rearranging furniture.......this book is worth consulting. You may think you know everything........and you may well know a lot... but you'd be surprised what you can be reminded of!

Enjoyable Read
Well written book. I enjoy the ideas that the author gives in the book, it is simple to find information and the author is not pushy about you having to do things a specific way or according to one specific tradition. Unlike some other books in this category, she allows for the freedom that comes with more eclectic mindsets and belief systems.

Simply wonderful.
Perfection. Simply lovely. Down to earth, chatty and full of information and ideas. A reference I have turned to for years and have given as a gift many times. Often the first reference book I recommend to people.

This is a lovely book written by a knowlegeable witch who has strived to simplify the spells for anyone starting out in the craft. I find her style of writing very comforting as it feels as if she is speaking directly to me. I would recommend this book

Written in a relaxed conversational style, this enjoyable book is crammed full of useful information and suggestions for creating an enchantingly witchy home. No colour photos, though - just line drawings, many of which are repeated. An excellent buy that takes pride of place on my pagan bookshelf.

plein de petit chose simple et claire pour mettre de la magie dans le quotidien. Domage qu'il n'y ai pas de traduction francaise!
