Nice watch
I chose this Timex Expedition after days of searching for an under $ 100. sturdy casual-style watch. I initially did not want a fixed bezel with numbers on it as it seemed like useless decoration. I looked for a rotating bezel but found none. I couldn't get this Expedition out of my mind though. The face has a charming effect on me. Days later, I went back to it and gave it serious consideration. Its numbers and compass letters on the bezel are muted and not outstanding. I now accept that. It seems to be a fine watch. I am currently testing its accuracy. I read of some quartz watches sounding too loud. (none of my others were) This one isn't heard until you put it to your ear. I DO have a large problem with the seller though. The watch's box came mauled and taped up. There was no instruction paper, and the delivery envelope itself was delivered open. How do I know if this watch is someone else's send-back? I was very close to sending it back for those reasons. I have never been sent mauled goods before. If, in a few weeks the watch is still doing ok I will keep it. I will up-date this post. Update - I set the watch to an online time setting site. After fourteen days, it showed a negative seven second gap. That would equal around a fourteen second gap per month. I have read that a plus or minus twenty second gap is considerd good. SO, I am happy with that. As for the rest of the watch, I bought a few dark nylon quick change bands, and if your manly wrist isn't too skinny I recommend it over the competition. But maybe from a seller you trust.

Nice for the price
I really like this watch for the price. The cream colored dial with orange accents is really nice. The indiglo feature lights up the entire dial instead of just having luminous hands. The band is nice and looks good with the case. It's a nice, large case that looks good on a big wrist. The case is metal and feels substantial. The band is sueded leather and prone to scratch damage. A nylon band would be more field watch like. The case is a strange pewter color that is hard to match with a new band. It looks ok with a black band but haven't found another color that looks good with it, light beige/sand color doesn't look good. Brown doesn't look good. The bezel has compass markings that serve no function.

First Watch Delivered Didn't Work - Replacement is Great
The only reasons I gave an overall 4 star review instead of a 5-star was due to (1) receiving a faulty watch on the first delivery attempt. That watch simply didn't start as it should after simply pulling off the protective tab - I suspect there was a battery problem. So, I returned it and waited another week for the replacement to be delivered. (2) The instruction sheet did not provide complete instructions, and though I already knew how to change the Date, I had to watch YouTube vids to recall how to change the Day of the week. But this replacement watch works fine, and I do love this watch and wear it all the time. I've been purchasing various Timex Expedition watches over the years, and this particular style is a favorite due to it's rougher "outdoorsy" style of appearance with its silver-toned brass case and stable chronograph paired with the brown Ieather strap. At the time of my Amazon purchase, it was also a considerable cost savings over the same model in a local store. I camp a lot during Spring/Summer, and the Indiglo light (just press the button) offers easy time viewing at night or when waking early in the tent. Since most of my camping is by lakes, having a 100m water resistance (330 feet) provides me great reassurance should I slip and fall in the water, or the watch slip off in the water, or I forget to take it off while swimming (A previous Expedition I owned was only 50m water resistance so if water is in your future, be alert to water resistance.)

Great Watch For The Money
I've only had this watch a few weeks but I love it! It's great looking, very legible and the Indiglo puts it over the top. When I wake up in the morning I push a button and it lights up to see if I really want to get out of bed in my dark bedroom. I am going to swap out my leather band for a stretchy nylon band but I am going to continue to enjoy wearing it!

a great war horse !!!!!!
I like my Timex Expedition watch because I can wear it daily I like its versatility because the size is quite conservative 40mm in diameter which falls into the category of classic about 9 or 10mm thick which makes it imperceptible on my wrist it is very comfortable and uses a 20mm leather strap this will make my task easier when I want to play with various combinations because it is a standard size and I can find many ( a lot !!) The reading of the watch is quite easy and clear in any situation because the design is almost military, the hour indexes (numbers) are applied and that makes the watch look too good FASCINATES ME !!! In low light situations you can choose to turn on the INDIGLO function (it is a kind of luminosity mechanism that makes the dial of the watch light up and you can read the time more quickly) It has the day and date window located at 3 o'clock in white that contrasts very well with the color of the dial, which is like a cream color, giving it a timeless air. One detail that I don't like is the fact that the bezel is fixed!!!! It is not rotating .....🤦🏻♂️😬 But neither do I consider that it is something of considerable relevance, I just would have liked one more function. What I particularly like is that the case is made of brass, a material that will acquire an interesting patina over time. On the subject of precision, it is something that I have to highlight because it is a Timex quartz movement which works wonderfully. (+/- ) 15 seconds per month so nothing to worry about In terms of hermeticism, I can say that this watch has a resistance of 100 meters, this works wonderfully in most day-to-day situations. All this in a watch under 50 bucks seriously....... 😳😅 I did not doubt it at any time from my humble opinion it is worth every penny it is a piece of a respected and valued brand in the watch industry (TIMEX) of good design and resistant for my day to day, which will undoubtedly provide me with the time in my wrist for many years. I recommend it 100% !!!!!!!!!

Seems solid but poor fit for a man.
This is the "Rugged" model? It barely survived the unboxing. A pin popped out for the buckle. I put it back in, but why is this listed in the men's watch section? It was a challenge to get it fastened using the second to last hole in the band. There are seven more holes in the band to fasten it. I could fit this on my grandson's wrist with the available holes. I know that we're trying to be conscious of the environment but another 1/4 inch longer of leather on the band wouldn't do any harm. Otherwise, this seems like a nice watch. It's easy to read and had some weight to it, so it feels solid. Just disappointed with the fit.
