The Behringer HPS3000 Studio Headphones - A Fine-Sounding Headphone
The title says it all - these Behringer HPS3000 Studio Headphones produce very good sound, especially when the price is considered. I'm sure you have read the many negative reviews here, especially those which complain about the longevity of this product. I can sympathize with those people who may have had some problems but I cannot claim to have had any myself. Well, you could say, "Okay. He bought ONE set and he was lucky; his are good ones." You could say that - but you'd be wrong. I did not buy one set; I bought SIX sets - and from two different vendors at different times. The last three were purchased from Amazon. You can see all six in my video. All have functioned perfectly from Day 1 and all continue to function perfectly. Most importantly, all have functioned identically, a sign of superb design and quality control. Two of them have been across the country and back. Over the years I have owned many headphone sets (including a very expensive one made by another German company whose name begins with S and ends with R; this set, which lasted about four years, is now a permanent resident of our local landfill). I use headphones extensively. I bought one of these HPS3000s some time ago and I was surprised (actually astounded) by the clarity of sound they produced. These Behringers have sound quality which, in my opinion, is superior to that of those other German headphones, especially in the bass and the crystalline highs produced. It is also superior to most other headphones I have heard, including Sony and Bose. (But I have to say that they are noticeably inferior to the TASCAM TH Series TH-MX2 Studio Headphones which, however, are somewhat more costly - though the difference won't break the bank.) I listen frequently via these headphones to CDs on the Lyrita Recorded Edition label; if you are familiar with that name, you know that they have achieved the finest sound quality yet available on CD (not quite, of course, as good as that available on SACD - but very close). Do you want to try a sampling? Try this: Celebrating 50 Years Devoted To British Music, Set One ; if you like that set, then try this one: Celebrating 50 Years Devoted To British Music, Set Two . Not only is the sound quality spectacular, so is the music quality! In my opinion, these Behringer headphones are very good - in terms of sound quality, construction quality, and value for money. Period. That's why I wound up buying a total of six of them. (And yes I have specific uses for all six.) My older headphones, of which I have many, now reside in a box in my basement. (But my new TASCAMS are the ones I shall use when listening seriously via headphones.) As for comfort, I think that is highly subjective. I have found these to be at least as comfortable as any I have owned in the past and really a bit better than most. They are lightweight (though 'clunky' looking) and they cover my ears completely (but they are not noise-canceling). The headband is also very comfortable. Once I put them on, I do not have to adjust them further and I listen generally for three or four hours at a time. But the only way for you to know for sure if they fit you comfortably is to try them. They fit me just fine. (My older headphones are also, for the most part, comfortable.) Obviously I highly recommend these Behringers to you. I also highly recommend that you buy them from Amazon. If by chance you were to receive a defective pair, you could return them to Amazon at absolutely no cost to you. (If you ask, Amazon will schedule a pickup at your home or place of business so you don't even have to take the package to the post office or a different shipping facility.) You can request an exchange or a refund. The choice is yours. But after buying, owning, and extensively using these six pair, I am confident that, if you buy a set, you will have the same experience as I have had. (I should also say that I own several other Behringer products: Behringer UCA202 Audio Interface , Behringer UCA222 U-Control Ultra-Low Latency 2 In/2 Out USB Audio Interface with Digital Output And Downloadable Software Bundle , and Behringer PP400 Ultra-Compact Phono Preamp . I am 100% satisfied with all of them. And, other than as a completely satisfied customer, I have no connection whatsoever with the Behringer company.) I would give these headphones 50 stars if I could, especially when you consider the ridiculously low price asked for them (compare the price to that of any other high-quality set of headphones). I paid far less for my six Behringers than I did for the one expensive set I mentioned above. In conclusion, it is my opinion that, if you want "prestige" or "coolness," then you buy Beats by Dr. Dre, Bose, Sennheiser, or some other $300.00+ headphones. However, if all you want is comfort and fine sound quality over many hours, then you buy these. I thank you for reading this, for watching my video, and for considering my opinions. Lawrence H. Bulk

Fantastic 'phones on a budget
I was looking for an inexpensive set of headphones that didn't sacrifice too much in sound quality. I've been using a set of inexpensive earbuds at work that just didn't cut it. After seeing the reviews for these headphones, I thought they would be worth it, especially at the price. Admittedly, my expectations were guarded - I hardly thought I could get much from a pair of headphones for less than an Andrew Jackson. I must also state that I am, by no means, an audiophile, though I am a musician and love listening to music. When I received these I immediately opened them and was pleased to see the adapter jack (1/8" mini stereo to 1/4" stereo) was of excellent construction, threaded to allow one to screw it on so that it wouldn't come loose when unplugging. I removed the adapter and plugged the phones into my smartphone and pulled up a few tracks from my library. I was immediately stunned by the clarity and range of sound. The tracks I listened to included some Marvin Gaye, Beethoven, and bass-heavy electronic tracks. The sound didn't disappoint on any of them. The balance of frequencies is about right for my tastes - enough bass to allow the "thump" of electronic music to come through without muddying the rest of the frequency range. I could hear everything. The Marvin Gaye track ("What's Going On") had excellent stereo separation, was crystal clear, and I could hear nuances of the song I had never heard before. Beethoven's 5th Symphony also had similar clarity. I am so pleased that these seem to handle just about anything I throw at them. As for the caveats - these will make your ears warm. The pleather pads do not breathe. They do, however, provide decent sound dampening without killing all environmental sound (important if you need to hear a knock on the office door when listening to music). The fit seems good, however, I have not worn them for more than a couple hours yet. Overall, the construction is solid enough, however, the materials will not impress most people. The instructions include a warning against "clapping" the phones together. They include instructions on how to potentially restore sound after such an event. I noticed a touch of buzzing on one bass-heavy track in my right phone (despite my never having "clapped" them) but following the directions I eliminated the buzz. If you are not looking for top-of-the-line over-the-ear headphones but rather a pair of clean-sounding budget phones you can't go wrong with these. They will likely satisfy all but those demanding very high sound quality. These easily rival anything else I've owned including a pair of Etymotic ear buds (which cost more than a Benjamin). If they last even a year, I will feel that I have beat any scale of value out there. Don't hesitate to pick up a pair of these.

Great value
For my head, these are decently comfortable for extended periods of time. Cord and connectors seem of good quality. Sound is good overall for the price. I wouldn’t use these for mixing or any critical setting, but they are pleasant to listen to music to on an iPhone or whatnot. Sound is a bit scooped out in parts of the midrange, and the very top octave is down a bit. Basically sounds like a “smiley” curve with a larger peak around 10kHz, before dropping off again. Mid/upper bass is hence a little warm, but they do extend down to 25-30Hz or so. The 32Hz note on “Temple Caves” Planet Drum is clearly audible, 15Hz in Photek’s “Seven Samurai” is not (which one would have a hard time “hearing” anyway, bass that low is mostly felt). Imaging “depth” is not bad, but not comparable to the best. A little flat. Actual clarity is decent (hearing the details, low perceived distortion), but can sound mistakenly muffled sometimes because of the lower amplitude response in the midrange. This works in it’s favor at lower volume levels where the bass range would otherwise begin to sound weaker, of course then details get drowned out by background noises. For $20-30, a pleasant sounding set of headphones. Easy to enjoy.

I bought these headphones in 2019 and have been quite happy with them for about 4 years. The sound was great, they are comfortable and do fit well. The inner soft material has now begun to peel off which I am not too bothered about. Unfortunately though, there is no longer sound coming from the right ear phone. The wire must have worn out. Although I was hoping these would last longer than 4 years I am contemplating buying a new pair of the same but will probably look around first before I decide. I am still leaving 5 stars as I'm not certain how long a product like should be expected to last before needing to be replaced.

Muss ich mir also andere Kopfhörer suchen. Schade, wer mehr als ein Paar Kopfhörer braucht ist hier aber richtig, die sind Ihr Geld wert.
