surprise
I just got this and tried it out on my 1:10 scale outdoor course. My tires on my Ridgerock and Ridge Runner are almost as tall as this car, yet I was able to tackle about 75% of the course. It was a struggle in some spots, but with care and careful throttle modulation I was able to have a blast and only rolled over 3 or 4 times. Yes I avoided the real tall obstacles, and had to stay out of the 6 inch deep gravel hill, but wow can this thing crawl. Ironically enough it has the exact same remote as the 2 Danchee crawlers. Overall I am pleased with what this can do, and look forward to seeing how it stacks up to my SCX24 C10. Battery life is over 30 minutes of average running, and remote response is quick and very accurate. The only 2 downsides I see are the non-removable battery as the included charger is way to slow (several hours to recharge) and the tire (too hard and firm). Both these problems can be solved pretty easy. I am very into crawlers and have a pretty extensive outdoor course (in work) that takes about 20 to 30 minutes to completely navigate, and will be building a large (16'x20') indoor course this fall and winter, and this little inexpensive gem is a true good time.

An amazing surprise for the dollar value. Highly recommend people get this crawler.
This HBX Devastator crawler is actually a pretty decent rig for the money. It comes with a lipo battery that provides about 1 hour of real crawling run time. Which for this scale of truck is great. It has 4 wheel steering modes that you can select from a stop or on the move. A very nice feature. The one downside to this great crawler is the front suspension has little to no clearance on the motor and hit the motor. So travel is somewhat limited. But otherwise it is overall a very capable crawler and the amount of features you get with this really do make it hard to beat or compare. Also the tires will soften up more with use and time. As they are fairly firm out of the box. But will climb. But they are more for loose dirt or mud than rocks. So if i could have the HBX company fix or change anything it would be the front upper linkage geometry and have the tires changed out to a actually soft flexible tire with quality foams. But grab one for yourself and see that its money well spent amd a very durable quality rc. That is fully upgradable.

Built like a tank!
If you put some aftermarket larger bead locks wheels on it. Used the existing rims. Then you have a very good crawler! Please note it's very important not to over tighten the wheels you can tell this by the body torquing side to side.

Fun little crawler.
I'll preface this review with the fact that this is my first micro crawler so I don't have a lot to compare it to. I was pleasantly surprised with how well it works for spending quality time indoors on a rainy day with my 2 year old. The 4 wheel steering is awesome and greatly improves turning radius and maneuverability. The truck's battery is not removable but seems to last forever on a single charge. You can build an obstacle course for this thing out of anything that you have laying around the house. Fun little truck. Glad I bought it.

Brittle plastic drive shafts!
This was a very fun car I bought for my 12 year old he didn’t have any issues operating it. As far as value I’d say don’t purchase it. There are two plastic drive shafts that broke within 10-20 minutes of driving inside the house on flat surfaces.

Fun little crawler.
The tires that come with it are not very well suited for a crawler, but aftermarket tires will fit the stock wheels. A simple tire change will transform it into a very capable crawler, also the 2s 500mah battery simply sits in the bottom of the speed control and can be easily removed if you want to relocate it. I have a very heavily modded SCX24 and still have a lot of fun with my Devastator.

The (2 Month) Legendary Goolski HBX 209
The first time I ordered this toy was two months ago and almost to the day two months later when the warranty ran out the toy stopped working and neither Goolbana nor Amazon stood by the product and offered me a refund or an exchange so caveat emptor, (buyer beware) The Goolski outperforms all of these 1/24 crawlers on pillows anyway I wouldn't dare run it outdoors seems way to fragile but I sure do have a ball running it indoors. I haven't changed anything on it that cage seems impenetrable LoL and so far its bulletproof (was bullet proof) I plan on buying more of these but not anymore, seems the price has gone up on it already. Note: price went back down so Im going to buy another one or two until the very first one I bought stopped working for no reason and considering the longevity of the product (2) months I wouldn't give this as a gift to a child who may only be able to enjoy it for two months.
