For all of you looking for one of these that's "just like Grandma's", BUY THIS ONE! It's the ONLY 4-wire sifter I could find on Amazon. (I only wish it was a 5-cup model.) Also, the holes in the side are small enough to keep spillage to a minimum, because unlike most of the 2-wire sifters, only a shaft comes through the body on this. All the wire loops are attached to that on the inside. On cheaper models, the holes have to be larger to accommodate the wire doubling back through. Also, there is a plastic spacer inside the body on each side so the wires don't contact the metal sides. Interestingly, 3 of the 4 wires make contact with the sifting screen, while the fourth just misses. I though it was a bad wire, until my wife showed me that her Gandma's old, well-used (and still working) sifter does the same thing. We figure it might be to break up larger clumps that would just ride over the other wires. The knob is wood, painted black and operates smoothy. As far as care goes, DON"T wash these! Sift your flour, knock the excess off with your knuckles and put it in a bag to keep it "clean". Grandma's sifter has been around for over 50 years, and our heirs will likely fight to get both of these when the time comes! BONUS! It comes with a really nice dough blender. It's a heavy-gauge stainless steel with a comfortable handle. The fit and finish on this is very nice, especially for this day-and-age of cheap products. If it seems like I'm gushing over this, it's only because I was very surprised at the quality of these items. If anything changes, I'll update my review.

What a pleasant surprise! I was looking for a good sifter other than using the mesh style colanders, cause they occupy too much space in my kitchen drawers. Long tale short while browsing around I found this flour sifter is just like Mama and Grandma had, only better. Mama's and Grandma's were tin I believe and rusted and darkened with age. But this one is stainless steel construction should provide me a lifetime of service. I hand washing mine instead of the dishwasher, I air dry after washed. It holds 24oz. Others only comes with 2 wire agitators, but this Yummy Sam’s flour sifter comes with 4 wire agitators to make the flour filter more delicate and more efficiency. I love the hand crank style, because they can stand up to repeated use without tiring out the hand. Also comes with a bonus dough blender, that is multifunctional, can be use to cut butter, vegetables, etc... My husband loves it. Highly recommended

The sifter is not the sturdiest but it does the job. At 3 cups its on the smaller side but the price was right. Its perfect if you only need one once in a while. If you misplaced your good one and need to order a new one so the old one will show up, this fits the bill nicely, and yes my old one did show up. This one is smaller so it works well with smaller bowls.

I’m into baking and read article that suggested always sifting flour for smoother, lighter texture and rises better in high altitude. Wish they’d make a bigger one. HAS to be dishwasher safe cause hard to really clean otherwise if it gets wet.

Love my new sifter.😍 It's got 4 wires inside which sifts faster than a 2-wire design. When I got it, the screen wasn't touching the wires, but I pushed on the screen a bit to reshape it and now it works like it should. I've used it to sift keto flour and sift the ingredients for my homemade golden milk too.

It is great as easy to use. You just put the dry ingredients in it and turn the handle and everything is perfectly sifted.
