Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus Silver Viewscreen Calculator

The calculator came exactly as promised, with everything included. Even though it was used and advertised as 'like new', I was cautious- but it really was like new. Only thing I noticed that was different from the new ones was that the back cover had been replaced. These calculators are generally great for any math class using advanced algebra, or even for a class like statistics or pre-calc. So glad I bought this instead of renting, because I know I'll be using it for a long time.

I bought the Viewscreen edition solely because amazon was having a sale on it so it was cheaper than the regular 84+ silver.I don't have any problems with it, even after writing some rather complex programs.However, I do not like the product itself.I find the interface unintuitive, and so many of the most-used functions are buried in menus.The LCD is also terrible quality. It takes forever to refresh so there is a noticeable delay between changes. That intermediate time results in a grayish screen that can really bug you. Also, the software included is not compatible with my Intel Imac. Luckily, I use parallels and a virtual machine and the windows version did the trick.Hope this is helpful.

I previously bought a malfunctioning calculator from another seller, and they had terrible service and did not even reimburse the extra shipping costs to return it! So then I spent the extra ten dollars on this one, and it's great! It works like new and even looks new. It didn't have all the cool games that brand new ones come with, but that prevents me from procrastinating on my work. (: I am overall really pleased with this purchase.

I was happy to find a used calculator for the Statistics class I'm taking. It works well for the most part, but the number 8 sticks badly and I always need to make sure it's not entering it more than once or that it didn't enter an 8 at all. It'll work, but this was NOT put in the description.

Delivered timely and right in the nick of time for back to school - couple knicks and clearly previously used, nothing a handy lysol/clorox wipe didn't clean away. Works great! No charger included.

Shipped very fast! Thank goodness too because my other one broke.Did not come with a cover.This was perfect in my case because I have the same one, the calculator itself wasn’t working so I have the extra cover.Heavy packaging so there was no damage to the product.

One of the ti 84 silvers failed to work after one week. I tried to clear the memory and reset the calculator without success. I would not make a purchase like this from Amazon again and I would not recommend it to anyone

I called Texas Instruments asking what is the difference between this and the standard TI-84+Silver edition model. Basically, this is the teacher version with an extra port to attach a screen so that students can see what you are doing. Functionally there is no difference. TI basically said that if this version is cheaper (which it is by $20 when I wrote this) there is no real reason NOT to get this one rather than the "standard" version. When I received this item, it INCLUDED the additional display screen and a carry bag along with the calculator. Pretty good deal!
