I purchased this gear to start a podcast on a very niche topic I know entirely too much about because my friends are sick of hearing me talk about it. The functionality is everything I expected. The sound quality is excellent for a USB mic and fulfilled all expectations. It lacks flashing RGB and has a nice, long, swing arm so I can keep it out of my field of vision and not constantly be reminded of it's existence. I did not start the podcast after all, but hey maybe some day.

Good mic i live it

I teach graduate and professional courses, and when the pandemic hit we had to shift all of our courses online. My laptop's built-in microphone and the mic built into my Logitech webcam are OK for short Zoom meetings, but not good enough when students have to listen to me through a full-day seminar. I tried a Samson lav mic, which had better sound quality but insufficient volume, so I decided to try one of these podcasting microphones. The students in a three-day seminar this week said that the sound quality on their end was much better than with the built-in, webcam, or lav microphones I had previously tried. Set-up with this microphone is incredibly simple since it's USB -- just plug it in and go. The mic is pretty easy to use, although it can be hard to get it into a position that doesn't block your screen but still is close enough and oriented properly for good sound. That speaks to the one drawback of this product, and the reason for deducting a star, which is that the cheapest part of this system is the connection between the flex arm and the suspension cradle. The connection is very cheaply made, drifts out of position if not tightened enough, strips if over-tightened, and can be adjusted only along one axis (limiting your ability to position the mic the way you want for your setup). The microphone, cradle, and flex arm all work very well, so it's a shame that the manufacturer opted to go cheap on this minor, inexpensive, but important small piece of the system. Overall, good performance and good value at a very reasonable price, and I'm hoping they upgrade that weak link. One last note: A lot of manufacturers provide free products in return for reviews these days, so I wanted to call out that I'm a regular user who paid full price for this product.

This mic accurately captures the full range of vocals, once it's set up correctly. Sounds great for DAW recording also.

I ordered this Mic Kit in Oct 2019, but I didn't start using it until March 24, 2020, because I have a good Condensor Mic and I just wanted to use it as a backup if something happened to my other Condensor Mic. Well, I decided to give it a shot and I was TOTALLY surprised by the QUALITY I got for my money. It's been EXCELLENT for the recordings I've made, so far... The Mic, Mic Cover, Cord, Scissor Boom Arm Mic Stand, Shock Mount, and Pop Filter are solid... the Plug-and-Play set up is GREAT TOO! What really impressed me is that you get an entire Set for a VERY Affordable Price! I could have bought 2 kits (with some change left over) for what I paid for my other Condensor Mic on Sale! I'm an Author/Publisher and Educator, and I also do AudioBooks, Narrations, and I have to say this Mic Set is Great for anyone looking to get started with Podcasts, Audiobooks, and other Voicework. I haven't tried recording my Trumpet, Drums, Percussion Instruments, or my Singing Voice yet so I don't know for a fact how it will hold up, with them, but I'm sure it will do just fine. I'll let you know if it still makes me smile after I've used it for more than a few recordings, but I'm still ordering another Mic Set, as soon as I finish this Review because YOU CAN'T BEAT the Price for the Quality you get! Totally Satisfied for now :-)

Firstly, I bought this mic in 2020 and I've been using it on and off since. You honestly cannot beat the quality at this price. It may not be a name brand mic, but damn does it sound like one! I use it specifically for streaming on twitch nowadays and I'm SO happy with the voice quality.

sounds like an expensive mic, plug and play so it’s easy to setup, the only issues are the joints and the vice it uses to hold onto your desk, a bit flimsy and don’t hold for long periods. other than that it’s an incredible beginner mic! definitely pick it up for quality on a budget
