Willow Tree Together, Sculpted Hand-Painted Figure

'Gifts for mothers' is, and always will be, a topical category of EXTREMELY abstract and limited information. So what can you give a mother who answers, 'All I want is my family sitting around the dinner table together' when you ask her what you can get her for her birthday? Thank goodness and everything holy for Demdaco's Willow Tree sculptures. The only way you can go wrong with giving your tender, loving mother a Willow Tree figurine is if you give her one she already has. My wife and I, while we were dating, gave this particular model to my mother and she loved it. It reminded her of us. That wasn't intended, but it worked out very nicely. She eventually gave it back to us when we got married, and we have it sitting on a side table in our living room. Construction: These little sculptures are constructed very well and beautifully. At a glance each figurine stands about 10-11 inches tall, and each is hand-painted. By the autumn-like colors and apparently whittled sculpting they are given an antique wooden feel. They are actually composed of a cured resin, a sturdy ceramic pot-like material, so although breakable they will not shatter when dropped. If one falls, and an arm or a head breaks off, a little Epoxy does the trick. That is a very nice feature; especially in a home with children. What makes Willow Tree figurines a foolproof Mother's Day/Christmas/Easter/Birthday gift is their ability to create immediate sentimentality. They will inevitably be cherished for generations. Another plus - If you look around, you can get them for great prices. I gave this product 5 stars for product quality and--if I could--another 1 for mushiness.

This figurine is as beautiful as all my other willow tree figurines are. I have had willow tree figurines next to each child's highschool graduation pictures for years. Well, my oldest married this spring and I really wanted a willow tree piece for next to her wedding picture. This is perfect! Really has her chacter! I'm super happy with my purchase.
