  • THE BAR: we only use custom mill bars, certified to spec and quality tested; our aluminum/titanium alloy is heat-treated in house for 8 hours and tuned by ear; we never paint, tint, dip, anodize or plate the bar, as this adversely affects sound.
  • THE BASE: made with Tennessee hardwood sourced from local managed forests where cut selections are hand picked from kiln-dried stock; a hand rubbed oil finish brings out the natural grain for a high-end look.
  • ZOOM IN: the chime is hand tied to the base with TreeWorks' CordLoc, a select fiber composition braided for extraordinary strength; this sealed cord suspends the bar while not impeding resonance.
  • INCLUDES HARD POLY MALLET AND CORD: comes with a hard polymer mallet that delivers a clear, bright, and articulate sound that's perfect for filling the room with sparkling tone; fitted with a durable braided nylon cord for hanging.
  • OF NOTE: this single tone chime has a clear sound that's useful for sound healing, meditation, music, or alerting others; it's light and portable to be used for any reason.
  • BY THE NUMBERS: wood base measures 13" L x 1 1/8" W x 3/4" H, and the chime weighs 6 ounces overall; the mallet measures 8" L with a 1" round head.

There are many uses for this beautiful instrument. No musical training needed. Comes with hardwood mallet and corded handle that make is easy to hang on a wall or desk. In the summer of 1996, Tree Works Chimes was created by Mitch McMichen. It began in his garage in Nashville, Tennessee. The first set of chimes was made with a hacksaw and a hand drill. It didn't look like much, but that was the first step to crafting the perfect set of chimes. When asked about the early days of Tree Works, Mitch replies, "I wasn't trying to start a company. I was trying to find a sound. " Since then Tree Works Chimes has grown to become the most respected chimes in the percussion world - used by top studio and touring drummers and percussionist as well as the top 24 drum corps. These instruments are still handmade in Nashville, Tennessee and are unmatched in craftsmanship and sound quality. (It is of note that Mitch McMichen has earned Gold and Platinum records for his work in Nashville. )
