shockingly good
This keyboard is great, oddly nice typing feel, lots of function keys like screen cap and settings and other special keys that take a little getting used to but once you use it for a little, it is a shockingly good keyboard. when folded, it is fairly secure and still easy to open and layout. It folds up to about half the size. The batter life is great and lasts a long time. It can connect up to 3 devices and makes a great travel keyboard. I have a Logitech Master Key that stays on my desk and I use this keyboard to quickly switch between my server, laptop, and desktop. Pair with a remote device mode and you can increase productivity to a ridiculous degree.

Finally, a Folding Keyboard That Doesn't Compromise!
I've tried my fair share of folding keyboards in the past, hoping for the perfect blend of portability and comfortable typing. Unfortunately, they always seemed to fall short. Whether it was an annoying seam right where my fingers would land, oddly shaped keys that threw off my typing rhythm, or the constant need for new batteries (and maybe not havionng them with me), there was always a trade-off. But with this new folding keyboard, I can honestly say those frustrations are a thing of the past! What immediately impressed me is that when unfolded, this keyboard feels and functions exactly like a full-sized, traditional keyboard. I was thrilled to see the inclusion of a complete 10-key number pad, something often sacrificed in portable designs. You genuinely cannot tell it's a folding keyboard when it's open and ready for use. The surface is completely smooth and seamless, eliminating those disruptive ridges that plagued previous models. The typing experience itself is fantastic. The keys have a satisfying and responsive feel, making it a joy to type on for extended periods. It's comfortable and doesn't feel cramped at all, unlike many other portable options. I also love the fact that this keyboard is rechargeable. No more scrambling for batteries or the guilt of constantly throwing them away – a huge plus for convenience and the environment! Beyond the core functionality, this keyboard excels in other areas too. It's incredibly portable and easy to slip into a bag when folded, making it perfect for travel or working on the go. The Bluetooth connection has been rock solid and consistently stable and reliable. It feels well-built and sturdy, not flimsy or cheap like some other folding keyboards I've encountered. Setting it up was a breeze – it paired with my devices instantly without any hassle. For the price, I truly believe this keyboard offers incredible value. If you're looking for a folding keyboard that truly delivers on its promise of portability without sacrificing a comfortable, full-sized typing experience, look no further. This one is a game-changer! I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a keyboard for travel, remote work, or simply to save space without compromising on functionality. This is, without a doubt, the best folding keyboard I've ever used!

Get what you pay for.
I've been using this keyboard for 7 months now, 5 days a week, 6-10 hrs per day, and I've taken it traveling on many trips until it unfortunately it stopped working, so I feel like this is an honest review for anyone considering this. Pros: Folded up pretty small, made it easy for commuting or traveling. I love the size, and found that I actually typed faster than my Logitech MX (I have fairly average sized hands) and I will be looking for this size keyboard in my next purchase. Keys were easy to use, nice feedback, nice give, again - liked this better than the Logitech MX. Bluetooth connection was seamless, very quick and awesome. Battery lasted a really, really long time (longer than Logitech MX). Overall - I loved this keyboard! Cons: It broke. Less than a year of use and it's totally done. 3-5 keys just stopped working on the left side including the Command and Shift buttons, and I am a shortcuts person, so for me it's unusable. I treated it well, I was gentle. No warranty was provided at purchase, and here's why: It's $40 y'all. I think we need to be more honest as consumers, and recognize that you often get what you pay for. If you want a cheap decent keyboard that probably won't last very long, this is it. One more con: there's a screenshot button right next to the numlock key, and4 I use the calculator constantly, and kept taking screenshots by mistake. Easy fix, I just removed the key. Overall I'm glad I got this because I realized I like that size better, and a folding keyboard is 100% awesome for commutes or travel. Would I get it again? Nope.

convenient and long battery life
Due to recent world changes ((cough))COVID((cough)), our team has all been given laptops instead of desktops to work from. Which has greatly improved work life! I can telework, work from the field, etc., anywhere there's an internet connection, I can get my job done. However. Not having grown up with computers as a natural fact of life, I am unused to a small screen. Those dual monitors at work are a godsend!! I can make do out in the field, or for a quick moment. However, with age, also comes changing eyesight. It's no longer comfortable for me to be only a keyboard's width away from my screen. I need some distance! As my job entails some flexibility, I had purchased a silicone roll-up keyboard so for portability and convenience. It was wonderful! Fit easily in my work backpack. Lightweight. A built-in 10-key pad (I abhor hunting for numbers across the top of the keyboard). The only downsides were that it was corded, and that my fingers didn't glide across the keys as they do on a 'regular' (plastic) keyboard. A coworker saw my silicone keyboard, came to Amazon, and found the ProtoArc XK01 Folding Wireless Portable Keyboard. I had to have one. My co-worker mentioned the battery life when I asked about the keyboard, and I thought, yeah, right. I'll use it more than you do, so there's no way this lasts *that* long. Folks, I am here to tell you that the battery life on this is INCREDIBLE. I ordered this in January 2023. It's now mid-September 2023, and I think I've charged it twice. MAYBE three times in the last eight and a half months. I use the ProtoArc XK01 Folding Wireless Portable Keyboard regularly, and yet sporadically. Depending upon how the day unfolds, I may use it for my entire work day in the field, or it may only be used once for a meeting. Other times, it just lives in my work backpack, ready when I need it. This keyboard (and my mouse) have become indispensable parts of my workday. Pros: - convenient size - BATTERY LIFE (charged three times (maybe two) in the eight and a half months I've had it) - 10-key number pad - ease of use - portability - convenience - USB-C charging port - Bluetooth connectivity to three different devices Cons: - the little feet have come off the bottom - USB-C charging port (depending upon already owned technology) - Bluetooth connectivity to three different devices (if you accidentally hit a button, and can't figure out why your keyboard is no longer working ...) I rated this as five stars because it's become so indispensable to my work life. I was working with a co-worker recently, and needed that distance from the screen. I switched the Bluetooth to setting two, connected to their laptop, and I was able to complete my task much easier! The only issues I've had so far have been that the little rubber feet have fallen off, and the plastic hinge protector on one hinge partially broke. I highly recommend this product!

A great replacement for my non-folding travel keyboard
Prior to this keyboard, I was using the Microsoft Designer Compact Keyboard, which is super lightweight, and has worked very well for me. However, there were a few issues that made me go looking for a different keyboard. First, I missed having a 10-key numeric keypad. Second, Microsoft keyboard is not rechargeable, but uses watch batteries, which is an expensive hassle when they die. And, finally, the MS keyboard doesn't fold, which means takes up more space in my backpack. So I took a chance on this ProtoArc keyboard. When I first received it, there were two minor problems. One of the hinges on the left side was kind of stuck, and had be forced to pop open. No plastic bits fell of, as described in some other reviews, and the hinge has worked perfectly since that first opening. The second issue was that it took me five or six tries to get the keyboard to pair with my Windows 11 laptop. Eventually, I got it to pair, and it has worked perfectly since then. I've been using it for about a week now, and I love it. I'm still getting used to the placement of the Home, End, and PgUp/PgDn keys, but I expect that shouldn't take long. Despite adding the numeric keypad, this keyboard only weighs 1 oz more than the MS keyboard. It not only takes up less space but, because it folds up, the keys are not exposed to the other contents of my bag when traveling. One other feature of the ProtoArc keyboard that I like is the FN Lock button. By default on both keyboards, the function keys are multimedia keys (play, pause, volume, etc.) and you have to hold down the FN key to use them as F1, F2, etc. As far as I know, this can't be changed on the MS keyboard. However, on the ProtoArc keyboard, simply pressing FN+ESC (called FN lock in the manual) reverses this and makes F1, F2, etc. the defaults, and you simply press the FN key to use them as multimedia controls. Fingers crossed that it holds up to constant travel and lots of opening and closing! UPDATE: I've been dragging this keyboard around the world in my backpack and using it constantly for more than two years. Still absolutely love it. Except, it finally died -- or I should say, started misbehaving; some keys not working, others firing constantly even when not touching the keyboard, etc. -- about two months after the end of the two-year warranty period. Grumble, grumble. And it happened while I was out of the country. Fortunately, I was able to find a new one locally and, amazingly, the build quality seems much better than the one I bought in 2022. Still very happy. Still highly recommended.

Excellent phone companion if you don't like touchscreens
Touchscreens are so frustrating! This little keyboard helps so much! It's truly plug and play. Connection is reliably fast. The batter life is long, I use the keyboard often throughout the week for texting mostly and I only charge the keyboard once a month. The keys are responsive and pretty quiet, I think it depends on your keying style, I'm heavy on the keys. This keyboard can take it. I'm so impressed that I have had this for years and no issues to date. Current technology isn't always this stable and reliable. The keyboard is smaller than a regular keyboard but it's easy to accomodate to, including the keypad, that side feels the same as a regular keyboard. If I had to come up with a con, it would be that there isn't a flip out kickstand to raise up the top for neutral hand position and that's easy to fix with a wrist bump.

Great keyboard! Troublesome screenshot button placement.
TLDR: The title sums it up. If you want the skinny on my minor beef, read on. Great keyboard. Love the form factor—full keyboard, with number keypad, which folds down so compactly. So easy to transport. Connects to my iPad Air effortlessly—just fold it open, and it’s ready to go to work. That said, there is one thing about it that utterly drives me crazy. The placement of a screenshot button directly next to the Backspace. I am not the sort of person who likes to take a lot of screenshots with their tablet. The number of times I miss Backspace and hit the screenshot button, instead, is maddening. Due to my work, I often have to switch between different keyboards—each one with a slightly different feel and button placement. The pinky, being the weakest finger, and the Backspace button, placed as it is on the standard keyboard, means that it’s easy to misjudge its placement and hit the wrong key—especially if I’ve just spent a good amount of time on a different keyboard, and become adjusted to it. This is so bothersome to me that it nearly ruins the overall experience of the keyboard for me—especially if I’m in the middle of a thought, and have to deal with a sudden screenshot interruption while trying to fix a mistake in my typing. Not sure yet if I’ll decide to get another keyboard instead. Everything else about it is wonderful—no complaints. Just this one thing—and it’s a near dealbreaker. And yet, I’m giving it 4 stars, because it’s that good—and because my experience may vary from those of others—at least those who are more accurate typists!

Great keyboard, even better customer service
Been using this keyboard semi-regularly for the past 4 months now, only charged once when I first got it so it has yet to run the battery dry. It's light, maybe around the weight of a smartphone and about 1.5x bigger when folded. It's not gonna fit in your pants pocket but does fit snugly in my tablet case when packed. Keys are full sized but short, a little over 1mm of travel with a crisp but quiet press, no mush. Feels like a good laptop keyboard, but might be unfamiliar if you're used to chunkier keys. Bluetooth switching is pretty fast, I think this depends more on your devices though. I don't usually write reviews, but the customer service was massively helpful and convinced me that this is a product that has some care put into it. The keyboard recently developed some non-functional keys, and once I contacted ProtoArc support they sent me steps to see if it could be fixed, and when that didn't work they promptly sent me a replacement XK01, free of charge. All that took place in less than 3 days, with delivery taking another 2. If that's not above and beyond service then I don't know what is. On sale, this is almost a steal.
