I don’t usually write reviews, but this one definitely deserves it. My toilet had been running on and off for weeks, and it was starting to drive me crazy (not to mention the water bill). I decided to give the Fluidmaster 400H Performax a try, and I’m really glad I did. Installation was surprisingly easy. I’m not a plumber by any means, but the instructions were clear and everything fit perfectly. Took me maybe 10–15 minutes from start to finish. The adjustable height feature made it simple to dial in the right fit for my tank. The difference was immediate. The fill is much quieter than the old valve, and it shuts off clean without that annoying trickling sound. The water level is now consistent, and the toilet refills quickly without being loud or aggressive. It also feels like a solid, well-made piece—nothing cheap or flimsy about it. You can tell it’s built to last. If you’ve got a running toilet or an old fill valve, just replace it with this and save yourself the headache. For the price, it’s a no-brainer.

Installed in American Standard toilet and works perfectly. The included instructions on the package and info sheet are the best I have ever seen. Very easy to install and adjust and at a good price.

Have installed four of these in my American standard champion toilets. Threr if the American standard ones after about 7 years kept getting stuck and would not fill the tank wuthout opening the lid and tapping the fill lever. I can't believe I went through the torture for over a year. These were so cheap and so easy to install. All of them have been working flawlessly. I have only been using them for about 3 months. I'm very satisfied with my purchase

I picked this up to replace an older, noisy fill valve in a Kohler toilet, and overall it’s a solid upgrade. Install was about as straightforward as it gets. If you’ve ever opened a toilet tank before, you can handle this. Shut off the water, swap the valve, adjust the height, and you’re basically done. Took me maybe 10–15 minutes taking my time. The instructions are clear, and the adjustment dials make it easy to fine-tune both the tank and bowl water levels. Performance-wise, it’s noticeably better than what it replaced. Fills faster, much quieter, and the tank shuts off clean without that lingering hiss you sometimes get with older valves. Flush feels more consistent too. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is the refill hose clip. On my Kohler setup, that clip just would not stay put - it kept slipping off and turning into a mini water feature inside the tank. Not exactly what you want. I ended up using a small zip tie to secure it, and that solved the problem immediately. Once that was handled, everything worked perfectly. Build quality feels solid, and the adjustability is a nice bonus if you’re trying to dial things in or save a little water. Bottom line: very easy install, quiet and efficient performance, just be prepared to improvise a bit with the hose clip depending on your toilet setup.

Had my handyman install this for me but as I was watching, he showed me how easy and fast it was to put it together inside the tank. And once in place, it worked perfectly. Great item if you need to replace your valve.

Works great in my American Standard Champion 4 M/N 4266. Fills up very fast (finished before I'm done washing my hands) and quietly (can barely hear it in the bathroom instead of having to turn the TV up in the other room with the original one). Install was a piece of cake. Didn't have to remove the tank, just have a bucket under the old connection to catch the left over water in the tank (there will be a lot if you have the original champion 4 flush valve).

God is so good! 🙌 This product and this company are absolutely awesome. I’ll be honest—it only took me about 15 minutes to replace my toilet fill valve. I had the part for a while but kept putting it off. I was so tired of the toilet running nonstop and constantly having to take the lid off to adjust it. Finally, I said, “That’s it—I’m fixing this today.” I even got instructions from ChatGPT beforehand, but honestly, I didn’t need them because the instruction booklet included with this product is excellent—clear, simple, and very easy to follow. I did run into one small challenge: the rubber hose in my toilet is permanently attached to the main nozzle and wouldn’t come off. I called the company for guidance, and their tech support was incredibly friendly and helpful. He told me to take the hose off of their toilet fill valve and just connect it to the nozzle in my toilet. I told him that I had been trying to do that, but it wouldn’t come off. So he told me to place their hose in hot water, and it came right off—problem solved! I was then able to install everything with no issues. Why pay $200 for a plumber when you can do it yourself? This cost me around $15, took about 15 minutes, and works perfectly. I’m so happy with this purchase and truly impressed with both the product and the customer service. Highly recommend!

I found this pretty easy to replace. I just purchased a home and the downstairs bathroom had a tiny amount of water just near the hole that necessitated daily cleanings. I was told it was a low-flow toilet and designed that way. It also took 20 minutes to refill. I found it hard to believe that was a design flaw. I didn't have $275 for a plumber so I turned to AI who suggested a flush valve-yep that was it. Took me a lot longer than 5 minutes because someone appears to have tightened the lock nut on with pliers. Some WD40 and Channellock pliers and I got it off. Awesome! Three things: -My old flush valve had a black rubber ring between the bottom of the tank and the tube that sticks out the bottom of the tank and the locknut. This one came with no such ring. I could tell this ring probably prevents leaks so I just reused it. -I didn't need to cut the hose or use the clip as my toilet already had a designated spot for the hose. Make sure your hose sits there like mine shows and isn't simply pushed down the tube. -This is certainly not quiet. I don't really care because it's only a minute or so to refill the tank.

Cuento con hidroneumático (30-50 psi) en mi hogar, tuve que cambiar mis antiguas válvulas con flotador porque provocaban vibraciones excesivas en las tuberías, estas vibraciones sólo desaparecían cuando cerraba casi por completo la válvula de control angular, lo cual no era conveniente porque tardaba hasta 15 minutos en llenarse el tanque. Encontré esta válvula después de buscar en foros de plomería, pedí esta versión de 2 válvulas, vienen en una caja de cartón perfectamente resguardadas. La válvula es de plástico (PP y POM) de gran calidad, aunque puede parecer frágil al tacto, es muy resistente una vez instalada. La instalación es bastante sencilla (solo ocupé una llave inglesa y el vídeo de instalación en la descripción de este producto). Adjunté un video de su funcionamiento luego de bajar la palanca completamente, llenó el tanque de mi inodoro (4.5 L) en menos de medio minuto y no hubo golpe de ariete (vibración de tubos). Aclaro lo siguiente, no es tan silenciosa como promociona la página de Fluidmaster (pero sí más silenciosa que una válvula de llenado con flotador Fleximatic, como el de la foto), sin embargo, sí llena el tanque bastante rápido y trabaja excelente con alta presión de agua (hasta 125 psi). El producto no es caro en comparación con lo que ofrece (llenado rápido, eficiente con alta presión de agua, silencioso si lo comparas con válvulas de flotador), además tiene garantía de 7 años. LO RECOMIENDO.

Reading other people's comments on being the wrong size is exactly why I bought it!! The inlet fitting is 7/8 inch(22mm) , fitted straight out of the box, just had to adjust height . Worked a treat. Again, the inlet is 7/8 inch, measure your original inlet pipe to be sure.
