Aden + Anais 4-Pack Lightweight Cotton Swaddle Blankets

First of all, I will say these are great blankets...big, breathable, cute, etc. but if you've read any of the other reviews, you already know all of that. Here's what I wished I had read before I purchased: 1. If you are like me, you have no idea what the heck muslin is. Well, as they say, it's a soft breathable cotton. The best way to describe it is like a cotton gauze, much like the material used in burp cloth diapers. The exception is, this is much higher quality, making it stronger than gauze, and it's only 1 ply, so it's more breathable than a cloth diaper. 2. This listing is confusing, because it mixes up the wraps and the blankets. If you want the larger 47x47 wraps, then go for the ones that have $49.99 listed as the list price. If you want the smaller 42x42, then go for the ones with the list price of $34.99. 3. What is so great about these blankets? I was trying to figure out why everyone was so in love with these things, and here's what I've deduced...these are MUCH larger than other swaddling blankets, and also much thinner. So, you can wrap your baby up in a nice tight swaddle,with the blanket wrapped completely around them and under their back and they are not too bulky. If you were to have a typical swaddling blanket of the same size, by the time you wrapped up the baby, they probably wouldn't fit in the bassinet, and their head would be 4 inches off the ground. 4. You still have to have swaddling skills. This is not like a swaddleme or sleep sack swaddler. No velcro, no magic. Personally, I am a terrible swaddler and my baby was out of this blanket in 6 minutes flat the first time I used it. But I'm getting better. I have no choice, since my rather large 3 month old has outgrown all of the magical swaddling options. All in all though, a nice functional set of blankets. And I have no doubt these will still be getting tons of use while the swaddlemes have long been donated away.

I just had my 3rd baby. My first, no way he would allow a swaddle and slept beautifully on his back. My second, was small and only liked swaddling from her waist down so you could swaddle her with about anything. My new, adorable bundle of joy absolutely refused to sleep on his back. Initially I gave in to letting him stomach sleep so I could at least get a nap during the day but really wanted to get him to sleep on his back. Everyone said a good tight swaddle would get him to sleep on his back. I tried it and it worked, but, the second he got a little bigger, no blanket could contain this little Houdini. I was on the verge of trying one of the swaddling blankets like the Miracle Blanket but it was sooo expensive for just one blanket that functioned for just one thing. As I read reviews, I came across the Aden + Anais swaddle wraps which had 5 stars and thought, what the heck, I was going to spend that much for just one blanket. The Aden + Anais muslin swaddle wraps are hands down, the BEST blankets and totally worth the money. They are huge but at the same time, any excess you have seems to just fold away without being lumpy. They are soft, lightweight, can be easily layered and man, they hold a swaddle like nothing else. As an added bonus, they come in a variety of patterns- the jungle animals I think are the cutest. If I had it to do all over again, I never would have bought the silly flannel "swaddling" blankets that everyone gives you- they don't hold a swaddle and are best used as burp cloths. I would have bought the Aden + Anais swaddle wraps from the start and plan to buy a set as my "go to" baby gift for everyone from now on!

My baby hates to be swaddled, but these are so great for other uses. They are nice and lightweight and work well over the carseat or stroller to block out the sun, and they are nice just to cover the baby. Very soft and snuggly. The jungle jam prints are super cute and gender nuetral. I went by other peoples recommendations and bought a pack of these and also received a pack from Target as a shower gift. Sure, these are bigger, but the material is the same quality. Both are great. Update 9-8-13 My son is now 14 months and we went from using these to swaddle, to using them as blankets to cover him up at bedtime (nice and lightweight for summer or anytime) and now he can't sleep without having one to cuddle. We send one to daycare and he often has one in the car and drags them all around the house, playing peek-a-boo with them or using them to cover up the dog. They make great security blankets because they are so easy to wash and come in packs of 4, so you always have a clean one. We still rotate all 8 of them that we got as shower gifts. When these wear out/get lost/get too stained or torn, we can just go out and buy a new pack. They are the best.

I was given these as a shower gift, and now I give them as a gift for every shower I go to! Mothers like to share good secrets! These muslin wraps really are the perfect swaddler blanket. The blanket is so large (47"x47"), that it makes swaddling extremely easy. What I love, is that it allows you to swaddle the baby tightly but comfortably so they don't move around or roll over. My baby sleeps with her arms out and they wrap around her so nicely. I love that they are breathable muslin, I feel very safe leaving it in the crib with her. I am still using these swaddlers for our daughter who is now 7 months old. I don't know how a smaller blanket (such as a receiving blanket that others use) could work this good. A bonus is that they are extremely soft too! Another use for these large soft blankets are to use them as a cover over the stroller or car seat to block the sun, but at the same time it lets the air through. I have one set aside for outdoor & car use, it goes with me everywhere. A MUST HAVE FOR ALL BABIES. ** My daughter is now 21 month and her swaddle wrap has turned into her "Blankie"- she loves it!**

Perfect all purpose swaddle blankets! I buy these for pretty much every baby shower I go to. They are large, soft, absorbent. stretchy and work great as swaddles, burp cloths, sun covers, mats, a light blanket, emergency changing pad, anything... Throw it over your car seat when the sun is blazing over the parking lot, and it will keep the seat cool upon your return trip, throw this breathable blanket over your stroller, and give baby some shelter from the sun or help baby take a nap, throw it over your shoulder, and you have a soft burp cloth for baby's head, tuck it tightly under a pnp mattress, and you have a last minute, soft and clean travel sheet that smells like home, hang it outside the pnp to keep out the sun's morning rays or just hide baby from the distraction of mommy and daddy sleeping close by in the hotel room (this one is a favorite). These are also my favorite swaddle blankets as they are so light and breathable - no worries about overheating, especially for summer babies. They are smushy and take up very little space in a diaper bag, despite their size, and they weigh almost nothing. Just Love Love Love. Oh, and the cheaper ones being sold at Target, BBB and Babies R Us, etc. are not the same. They are still good, I have both, but the quality and softness is just not the same. Also, the cheaper ones are smaller in size.

I LOVE these blankets. I was skeptical, thinking "Do I really need expensive swaddle blankets?" The answer? I bought 4 more as they are in constant use. They are light, breathable and soft. The lightness will be perfect for summer, but I doubled the blankets to use in the winter. The blanket rolls up so small, one is constantly in my diaper bag. I've started using this instead of my nursing cover, and I think it even works better. My colicky baby only sleeps with her eyes covered, and with the breathable nature of these blankets, I'm much more comfortable to swaddle her with a little "hood" to cover her eyes (don't worry, she's well monitored!). The generous size is key, too. It makes it so easy to swaddle. When my baby was a newborn, I folded them in half to form a triangle and swaddled that way, but now she's bigger, I fold down the top corner. There's plenty of room. I'm sure I can still swaddle her up to a year, if she needs it (like her brother did!) Also, check out "Double Swaddle" on youtube, as recommended by another reviewer. It's a great way to secure the wiggly older babies who still enjoy swaddling for sleep. I say, go for it!

Super happy with these! The color is true to the pictures. The fabric seems super breathable and like it will last for a long time. Before washing the texture felt sort of like canvas but... Softer? Washing the swaddles definitely softened them and I'm sure they'll continue softening with use. The washing instructions say to hang dry but they didn't shrink in the dryer at all, though the texture of the material changed visually. The colors didn't fade in the wash either. I haven't swaddled my baby in them yet but I'm familiar with this brand and know it's great quality for sure. I'll definitely buy more aden + anais swaddles in the future!

I wearily splurged on these myself but now cannot say enough good things about these blankets, they are seriously the only ones we use and I always need at least 2 with me. They are so soft, compact, layer-able, and breathable to prevent overheating. I frequently use them as swaddling blankets, burp cloths, sun shade, a nursing cover, and a blanket for him to play/ roll on! (receiving blankets are useless, and those tummy time mats are too bulky and too small, too hot...even the muslin version of these available in babies r us and target aren't the same quality... they're 10 inches smaller than these) I was even cold in the car once and threw one on and it was perfect, but yet they're not too hot when I'm nursing and its really hot out. Its like they adjust temperature or something! I have repeatedly used these as a backdrop for photos too... they are so beautiful! The baby just looks gorgeous laying on them, loosely wrapped in them, or tightly swaddled in the adorable and tasteful prints. I have a 4 month old, and these are still an absolute necessity for naptime or bedtime. I swaddle him tight in these (he's tall and these still work perfectly!) and he drifts right off to dreamland like magic.

Les maxi-langes sont grands et doux. Utilisables pour tout: j'en ai un pour recouvrir mon matelas à langer, un autre dans ma nacelle pour proteger le matelas. Peut servir comme châle d'allaitement ou comme doudou. Facilement lavable et les dessins Jungle Jam sont très mignons avec les petits animaux. Je recommande.
