"the product is manufactured in taiwan" and "made in usa" are both in the description, which one is it?

Mine says, "MADE IN USA" in little, tiny letters, on the end of the vial holder.

Is there some special trick to getting this thing to stay tight? My twist lock is bottomed out, and the scale keeps falling out.

Your question is somewhat amusing to me, only because my experience with this product is that the darned ruler itself sticks. That is, it's really tough to get the thing to move to where I want when the twist lock is WIDE OPEN! Anyway, my twist lock is fine, and I'm sorry yours is malfunctioning. I think it's too bad that the manufacturer couldn't get this product right, both in terms of the lock mechanism and the way the ruler slides. The ruler itself is finely etched, and overall the product would be a great buy if only our two gripes could be remedied.

If it is a "true blue vial", then why does the picture show a green one?

The one I bought prolly a year and a half ago had blue fluid I also bought a 16 one blue fluid very nice squares
