I absolutely love the opening/closing mechanism on this binder. I never really thought of the opening/closing mechanisms on binders before as particularly clunky but this one is so much smoother that I noticed it right away. Not only does it operate more easily than the typical mechanism, it has a solid feel to it making the rings and opening/closing mechanism of all the other binders I've used feel either extremely flimsy or difficult to use in comparison (given that unlocking some of the other expensive, and therefore not flimsy, binders I've used for corporate records can take serious effort and then lining some of these others back up again to relock can be an exercise in frustration). The D-rings themselves also feels solid and has a slightly more precise shape than I've experienced with less expensive binders (and, actually, even some slightly more expensive ones that I've used for corporate records) making the pages lie extremely neatly even when the binder is filled to capacity. I know it seems strange to practically be waxing poetic over a binder but this one really does have a much smoother and more solid feel than any of the others I've used and I've used hundreds, if not thousands, of them over the past four decades or so to organize materials/documents for various client projects and corporate records. I'm definitely a convert to Bindertek and can't believe I never tried their binders before. The biggest downsides being the cost.. so it won't be practical to use them for most projects... and with this particular finish I would anticipate the currently pristine aluminum becoming scratched over time. Still, it is a wonderful product and definitely worth the extra cost due to ease of use and sturdiness when selecting a binder that is going to need to hold up over time and will be accessed regularly.

This binder is great quality. It seems to be very easy to use and great value since it will hold up due to being metal. Color is a dull stainless steel color. Overall it will perform as described!

Yes, it's metal, so it will hold up. The metal is very thin and flexible. It arrived with a small bend in it. The hinges are just adequate, nothing overly heavy-duty. Given the price, it is NOT a good value.

Some months ago I wrote a brief and unflattering review of another product. Due solely to my carelessness, I attached the review to this product. I have just today discovered the (MY) error. I apologize to the seller for saddling it with a review that belonged to somebody else. In fact, this aluminum binder is quite sturdy and well built, is entirely satisfactory and perfectly suited to its intended use. Should I have need of a similar binder in the future I will not hesitate to purchase from this seller -- if they will still speak to me.

Just about indestructible. Our standard issue binders at an industrial work site are vinyl-wrapped hardboard junk, so I got this one especially for a heavily used job and it's performed admirably. I tried a comparison to a binder that used thick plastic material, but the hinges on it were soon showing stress. We've had this for almost a year and it works like new. For what we paid, given the life of this we'd likely go through several cheaper binders. The finger hole is nice but a little small, and even though it's been finished it still feels a little sharp so I just fitted a rubber grommet inside.

I was extremely disappointed in this binder. I hardly ever leave reviews for things, but since Amazon emailed me asking me to leave one, and this thing is extremely expensive I figured I would leave a message. The sound it makes and the visceral feeling I get when using this binder is the main downside. Basically nails on a chalkboard. Not at all what I was expecting. I saw one other negative review on here for this binder and should’ve listened to that guy. I instead chose to believe the 5 star reviews but unfortunately it did not pay off this time

Welp. Definitely not a "2 inch" binder. Everyone else probably doesnt even know they received a falsey advertised item. Last time I even consider buying something from Bindertek.

If you are looking for a sturdy, well constructed binder, you can push ' Buy Now'! I got it for a friend,who had been looking for months, for a metal binder that would not fall apart, with constant use. The rings are strong and has those thick angular rings that allow the pages to lie flat and neat and hold hundreds of sheets of paper. It is hinged and when opened, lays flat. The covers are longer than standard paper, to protect the paper in the binder. It was delivered 4-5 day earlier than the projected delivery date. I am very impressed with the product quality and service l received!!
